🎩 Meet Basil – Our Distinguished Gentleman 🖤

If you're looking for a dog who's traded chaos for charm, allow us to introduce BASIL 😍🫶

With his dashing eyebrows, gentle eyes and impeccable manners, Basil is every inch the distinguished gentleman. He isn't interested in causing a fuss... unless it's the kind where you're giving him one! A gentle scratch behind the ears or a cuddle is high on his list of favourite things.

Basil is calm, affectionate and walks beautifully on the lead, making him the perfect companion for peaceful strolls and relaxing afternoons. He's the sort of dog who is simply happy to be by your side, taking life at an easy pace 🥹

If you've got room in your home – and on your sofa – for this handsome chap, Basil would love to meet you.

📸 Social Media vs. Reality... 🐾😂

You know those perfectly posed rescue dog photos that make it onto our page? Well... here's what happens before we get that one perfect shot!

Meet WOMBLE, giving us:

👂 Flyaway ears? ✔️
🦮 A longline with a mind of its own? ✔️
👀 Completely distracted by absolutely everything? ✔️
🍎 An orchard full of fallen apples that are far more interesting than the camera? Definitely! ✔️

Behind every polished adoption photo is a member of our dedicated team making strange noises, waving treats, dodging tangled leads, and hoping for just one second of eye contact! 🤭

It's all part of the fun, and we wouldn't have it any other way. These little behind-the-scenes moments are some of our favourites, and they remind us that every dog has their own wonderful personality.

What a month July was! We waved off 6 of our rescue dogs as they started new adventures with new families and a wonderful reunion for Clara (Sally) who had wandered off and got herself a bit lost 🥹
We wish all the very best to TEDDY, REIGN (was Petunia), TEDDY (was Gilroy), AYRA, ROBIN and PLANKTON and their new families as life starts from here 🫶🥰 🏡

..Womble is here, and he's busy making his way into our hearts! ❤️

This handsome Saluki Lurcher is currently under assessment, but we're now accepting applications from potential adopters who think they could offer him the loving forever home he deserves.

Like any good Womble, Womble is unique, gentle and full of character. As we continue getting to know him, we're looking for a home that will give him the time, patience and understanding to flourish.

🏡 Womble is looking for:
🐾 An adult-only home (no children)
🐾 A cat-free home
🐾 A family who appreciate the wonderful nature of sighthounds and are happy to let him settle at his own pace.

If you've been waiting for a loyal companion with long legs, soulful eyes and plenty of charm, Womble could be the one 🥹

🐾 JUNE Rescue Round-Up 🏡❤️

We are catching up after a wonderful June! We're delighted to share that BRUCE, ROMAN (was Trent), KOBIE (was Malcolm), and Wolf have all taken the next exciting step on their journey and either headed off on home trial or they are settling into their forever homes. 🥹🐶

Each of these incredible dogs arrived with their own story, and seeing them leave with bright futures ahead is what rescue is all about! 🥹

A huge thank you to everyone who has supported them along the way—from our dedicated team and to everyone who shares our posts, donates, and believes in giving rescue dogs a second chance.

Congratulations, Bruce, Roman, Kobie & Wolf! We hope your new adventures are filled with love, comfy beds, endless treats, and the happy endings you truly deserve. ❤️🐾

📢CALLING ALL GSD EXPERIENCED PEOPLE📢

Here's our beautiful GILROY 🐾💙 He is looking for his forever family. Some important information;

👨‍👩‍👦Can live with children aged 13+
🐕‍🦺Only dog in the household - dog reactive, not aggressive
🥰Needs time and patience to settle into routine
💙Gentle, frequent walks (hot temperatures depending!!) to build muscle mass on hind legs.
❤️‍🩹As per the breed, HD, CDRM etc to be considered for later in life and vets bills accordingly.
🐱Not cat-tested
🪮Regularly brushing for all the floof!!

Gilroy is a lovely, affectionate boy. We estimate him to be around 4 years old.
