💖💙 PUPPY UPDATE — 10 DAYS OLD! 💙💖

Our little bundles of joy are already 10 days old, and I honestly can’t believe how quickly the time is passing! 🐾🥹

I know many of you have been eagerly waiting for updates, photos and videos of the puppies, and I really do appreciate all the love and interest you’ve shown towards Cherry and her little family. 💕

As much as I would love to share every moment with you all, capturing photos and videos isn’t always as easy as it sounds! These tiny babies are like little wriggly worms at the moment, and Cherry is enjoying spending this special time bonding with her puppies. 🐶💖

Cherry has been an absolutely wonderful mum, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. 🥹💗 Watching her care for her babies has been such a special experience.

Behind the scenes, though, the last 10 days have been a real emotional and physical journey for me personally. Caring for a new mum and her newborn puppies involves long days, sleepless nights, exhaustion and plenty of worry. There have been times when I’ve felt completely overwhelmed, and plenty of tears along the way — some happy tears, but many brought on by stress, tiredness and the responsibility of making sure my little family has everything they need. 🐾💕

It’s a huge commitment, and although it hasn’t always been easy, every moment comes from the love and care I have for my dogs and their wellbeing. Right now, my priority is making sure Cherry and her babies are happy, healthy and getting all the time and attention they need. 💙

Thank you so much to everyone who has checked in, sent kind messages and been patient while I focus on my little family. Your support really does mean a lot to me. 💖

I promise I’ll share more puppy updates as and when I can, so please bear with me while I enjoy these precious early days with Cherry and her babies. 🐶💗

I am happy to post the safe arrival of 5 beautiful puppies born early hours this morning with a big help from my bestie Laura and Steph the vet at wolds.

I am beyond exhausted and currently going off an hour sleep in the last 24 hours so please bare with me but mum and pups are doing very well

🐾 WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR PUPPY MATERNITY LEAVE! 🐾 ❤️

And that’s me officially finished grooming for a little while! 🥹🐶💕

We are now just waiting for the arrival of the puppies, which could be any time soon! 🐾🍼 It’s such an exciting time, and I can’t wait to meet the little ones.

While I’m off, please bear with me as I may not always be able to answer calls or messages straight away. My priority will be my girl and her babies, so please be patient and I will get back to you as soon as I can. ❤️

I still cannot confirm my return date at this stage, but please don’t worry — as soon as I know when I’ll be returning to work, I will give plenty of notice so everyone has time to get booked back in.

And of course… I will be sure to share a picture of the happy family once the puppies have arrived! 🥹🐶🐾❤️

Our beautiful Bichon is expecting puppies, and as we get ready for the exciting whelping process, we’re looking for clean, dry old newspapers that you may have at home and no longer need. 🐶💕

🐾 IMPORTANT UPDATE — PUPPY MATERNITY LEAVE 🐾

It’s official! 🥹💕 After mentioning this possibility since the beginning of the year, I can now CONFIRM that my dog is having puppies! 🐶🐾

This means I will be taking some time away from grooming to enjoy and properly care for her and her babies.

My last working day will be Wednesday 30th September, and I will be off from Thursday 1st October 2026.

I am expecting to take approximately 5–6 weeks off, but at this stage I cannot confirm my exact return date. This will depend on when the puppies arrive and how things are going with mum and her babies. ❤️

All appointments up until the end of September are already booked as normal, so if you have an appointment during September, everything remains exactly as planned.

Once I know more and can confirm my return date, I will post the dates here on Facebook with plenty of notice, and I will then start getting everyone booked back in.

I completely understand that you will be keen to know when your next appointment will be, but please be patient with me while I wait for the puppies to arrive and know exactly how long I need to be off. I simply cannot book appointments for after my leave until I have a confirmed return date.

This has been talked about since the beginning of the year, so hopefully nobody is too surprised! 😂❤️

🐾💎 💗 IMPORTANT SALON POLICIES FROM DIAMOND DOGS 💗 💎🐾

We want every pup who visits us to have a safe, happy and stress-free grooming experience, so here are a few important things we kindly ask all our lovely clients to keep in mind. 🐶✨

💎 CANCELLATIONS & NO-SHOWS

We completely understand that plans can change, but appointments are reserved especially for your dog and last-minute spaces can be very difficult to refill.

🐾 Less than 24 hours’ notice – £15 fee🐾 Same-day cancellation or no-show – £20 fee

Where possible, please give us more than 48 hours’ notice. This gives us the opportunity to offer the appointment to another client. With less notice, we often can't fill the space, which means a loss of income for our small business. 💗

🌸 BI***ES IN SEASON

Unfortunately, we are unable to groom bi***es in season.

This is due to:🐾 Health & hygiene reasons🐾 Extra cleaning required🐾 Fairness and consideration for our male clients

Please let us know and plan appointments accordingly. 💕

🐶 UNWELL DOGS

If your dog has shown signs of illness within the previous 24–48 hours, please let us know and reschedule their appointment.

This includes symptoms such as:

🐾 Coughing🐾 Vomiting🐾 Diarrhoea

This helps us protect all of our lovely clients and prevent illness from spreading around the salon. ❤️

🐕 BEHAVIOUR & SAFETY

Please let us know before your appointment if your dog has:

🐾 Aggression or anxiety🐾 Behavioural issues🐾 Any other concerns that may affect their grooming experience

Knowing beforehand allows us to prepare properly and make their visit as safe and comfortable as possible. 💗

The support you’ve shown Diamond Dogs has been nothing short of incredible, and we’re so grateful for every single one of our wonderful clients.

Because of your continued loyalty, our grooming diary is consistently fully booked 6–8 months in advance.

For this reason, we are not accepting any new grooming clients at this time.

We know this may be disappointing for those hoping to join us, but we’re committed to giving every dog in our care the time, attention and high standard of grooming they deserve. Taking on more dogs simply wouldn’t allow us to maintain that.

To all of our existing clients—thank you for trusting us with your gorgeous dogs and for keeping us so busy. We genuinely appreciate every appointment, every recommendation and every bit of support. 🐾💙
