Please remember to keep your dog on a lead when you are visiting the cafe or the kennels!

We have lots of nervous / reactive dogs visiting so please respect everyone 🐶

We absolutely love welcoming your four-legged best friends to the cafe! 🐕❤️

Being nestled right inside the grounds of a working kennels means we get to see so many happy, wagging tails every single day.

To keep our little canine haven safe, relaxed, and fun for absolutely everyone, we just have a small favour to ask!

🔹 At the Gate: Please put your dog on a short lead before stepping through the main entrance.

🔹 In the Cafe: Keep your pup closely by your side. Please don’t let them wander off to explore the room or greet other tables on their own. Why do we ask this? We want every visitor to feel completely comfortable. Not all dogs like making unexpected new friends, and some of our littlest human guests can get a bit frightened if a pup wanders up to them unannounced. 👶🐾

By keeping your dog close, you help us stay the safest, most welcoming, and happiest dog-friendly spot around! ☕🍰

Cattery update

So the main build has been completed and 10 new pens ready with a brand new layout.

We have some work let to fit out the kitchen / prep / storage area.

Lighting and heating supplies (ready for autumn !) have been installed.

We are certain your cat will enjoy the new build offering them a quieter & spacious experience.

We still have limited availability throughout August for our Residential Training Programme at IQ K9 Academy.

While your dog is staying at Castlefield Kennels, they can also benefit from professional, one-to-one training tailored to their individual needs. Whether you’re looking to improve:

• Loose lead walking
• Reliable recall
• Reactivity
• Manners around people and dogs
• General obedience and confidence

We’ll work with your dog during their stay, helping them return home with improved skills and giving you the guidance to maintain their progress.

Spaces are limited and available exclusively for dogs already booked in to board at Castlefield Kennels.

Update on our new cattery build.

Good progress has been made so far.😀

The main layout has been set, first walls have been erected and one pen door fitted to help us plan & visualise the internal layout.

Licencing regulations state specific requirements and we are working with our supplier to come up with the best solution.

Next update early next week. 🤗

Another development at the kennels has started as part of our continued drive to deliver the best facilities and service to our customers.

Are you a cat owner?

Then you will be pleased to know we have finally been able to demolish our current cattery which was more than 25 years old to allow us to build a brand new modern cattery.

Work on the new build starts today - watch this space as we make progress over the next few weeks.

ALL current bookings are safe and we apologise if you have been unable to book with us for July as we operate on reduced capacity for a little while.

We are having a concrete delivery this morning and there may be some disruption in the car park.

Everything is open as usual.

Please park in front of the house or use the vets car park for dropping off.
