It’s very important to introduce your puppy to a grooming salon environment from a young age, especially if they require clipping on a regular basis in the future !

The best grooming appointments begin long before your puppy’s first visit.

Spend just a few minutes each day helping your puppy become comfortable with being handled:
🐾 Touch and hold their paws.
👂 Gently handle their ears.
👀 Wipe around their eyes.
🦷 Lift their lips to check their teeth.
💙 Stroke and lightly hold their tail.
🪮 Introduce a soft brush and reward calm behaviour.

Keep sessions short, positive, full of treats and praise. The goal isn’t to groom them perfectly—it’s to build confidence and trust.

A puppy who is comfortable being handled is more likely to enjoy grooming, making every visit less stressful for them and safer for everyone.

Start early, be patient, and celebrate the small wins. Your future self (and your groomer!) will thank you.
