Tuesdays mantrailers did 1 decent length warm up with a scent pool and then a half mile track.

It was a busy night at the park,we had swans, rats, ducks, people and dogs to deal with.

Some super choices and trail commitment over distractions.

I knew id dont 5x half mile tracks when I got home 🤣🐾

Me and Cruz (he ran fab for me on sat) x 1st and 2nd.

Helen and Ivy 1x 1st and ran in the vision final.

Me and Saoirse 2nd and unplaced 2nd.

Me and scribble 2nd and 3rd.

Sophie and Olive several wins at iconix.

Carla and Beryl also ran in the vision final.

Carla and Nora 1st in anysized.

🐾 When our dogs are tracking or trailing they are not only following the targeted scent they are working hard to dismiss all the other scents in the area.

With each sniff they take in scent to process and air to breath, the split between the two will fluctuate from normal daily activity to when they work meaning more priority is given to scent when tracking/trailing.

🐾 Whilst all this comes extreamly natural.to them we can harness it to our benifit. Tracking dogs are used for multiple jobs eg Rune pictured is a l0st dog tracking dog, there's human SAR dogs and police dogs to apprehend running criminals.

But......

There is also mantrailing the art of following a specific human scent to get to the person for reward and all for FUN.

And the best bit, because of all that hard work their brain does discriminating the scent picture the dogs are happy and tired without being over excercised.

I have a passion for helping dogs feeling accomplished in their work without added frustration.

I'm back from my week away and I have the most amazing agility round up.

DINAs is an amazing show such a huge atmosphere and so friendly and organised from dinas leagues to champ classes and everything in between.

For Saoirse and I it was the biggest show shes been to at grade 7 and to come away with places I couldn't be happier.

Then there's these guys......

Jules and Daphne came 4th in the crufts novice cup qualifier and 3rd in 3-5 agility

Jo and ziggy 2nd in 3-4 agility and cr 3-4 agility.

Melissa and cooper 2nd place and made the medium 5-6 final taking 3rd place overall.

Helen and Ivy 2nd 5-6 agility cr in both avc agility and abj jumping also putting them in the dinas abc final and smashing 3rd place overall.

And whilst we were at dinas some of the others enjoyed shows closer to home ......

Sophie and Lucy 1st in 6-7 agility and 6-7 jumping getting both strike 1 and 2 towards grade 7 and 2nd 6-7 agility.

And to finish the list

Christine and Ted 1st in 4-5 agility taking them to grade 5 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
