✨🏆 WE WON! 🥂✨

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that Kimbolton Vets has won Best New Business at the Huntingdonshire Business Awards! ❤️

The whole team headed out for a brilliant evening on Thursday, swapping our scrubs for dresses and getting glammed up for a night of celebrating! 🥂✨

When I started Kimbolton Vets, I never imagined we’d be celebrating an award like this. It’s been a huge journey getting the practice up and running, and I’m so proud of what we’ve built together. Having the whole team there to celebrate made it even more special. ❤️

A massive thank you to everyone who commented on our finalist announcement and sent us such lovely messages of support. It genuinely meant so much to us! And, of course, thank you to all our wonderful clients for trusting us with your pets and supporting our independent practice. We couldn’t have done it without you! 🐾

Now, back to the scrubs! 👩‍⚕️🐶

We’re so excited to share that Kimbolton Vets has been shortlisted for **Best New Business** at the Huntingdonshire Business Awards!

On Thursday, the whole team will be getting dressed up and heading off together for the awards night. A lovely opportunity to celebrate how far we’ve come since opening our doors and everything we’ve achieved together. ❤️

We’re incredibly proud of our little independent practice and so grateful to our wonderful team and clients who have helped us get here.

🩺 A little look inside our operating theatre!

I heard today that some people don’t realise that we have a fully equipped operating theatre here at Kimbolton Vets, so I thought I’d show you a little bit of what goes on behind the scenes!

We carry out all of our routine first-opinion surgeries here, from neutering and lump removals to more involved soft tissue procedures.

We’re also lucky to have a visiting orthopaedic specialist who operates here at the practice. This means that, when appropriate, our patients can have specialist orthopaedic procedures without necessarily having to travel to a referral hospital.

These photos show one of our own vets performing surgery, our visiting orthopaedic specialist from Vanderhinch Vets operating, and a post-operative X-ray following a TPLO surgery 🦴

We’re really proud of the facilities we have here and the range of surgery we’re able to offer our patients ❤️🐾

And yes, there is quite a lot more going on behind these doors than just consultations!

Just a reminder that we will be closed tomorrow!

🐾 Practice closure – Wednesday 16th September 🐾

The Statute Fair is taking place in Kimbolton on Wednesday 16th September, which means there will be road closures around the village and no access to the practice during the day.

Rather than letting that stop us, we’re taking the opportunity to get the team together for some important CPR and emergency care training! ❤️‍🩹🐶🐱

We’ll be refreshing and practising our skills in CPR and emergency situations, helping to make sure we’re as prepared as possible for those occasions when every second counts. We’re always looking for ways to improve the care we provide, and dedicated training sessions like this are a great way to keep our skills sharp.

📞 Our phones will be covered by Cromwell Vets during the closure, so if your pet has an emergency, please call us as usual and their team will be able to advise you and arrange emergency care if needed.

For routine enquiries, appointments and medication requests, please contact us before or after the 16th September.

We’ll be back open as usual on Thursday 17th September.

Well done Anna we couldn’t be prouder of you 🥹👏👏👏
Our fabulous receptionist Anna has raised over £20k for Dementia UK and now has been shortlisted for a Pride of Britain Award, we’ll be rooting for you to win Anna, you deserve it 💪

I really can’t believe I’m typing this! But here we are!

I have been shortlisted for pride of Britain fundraiser of the year 😱😱

We had itv come out and record about my fundraising whilst Marston Steam & Vintage Show and what a whirlwind that was!!!

To even be nominated is incredible but to be shortlisted 🤯🤯🤯

I couldn’t do this without everyone’s support and kindness so thank you to everyone for being there every step of the way.

You can now watch me on itv this week tell my story about why I’m fundraising and about Dementia UK

I know we won’t win and it’s not about the winning so to just be shortlisted is phenomenal!

It has still not sunk in and it’s still a very huge pinch me moment 💜💜💜

What a fantastic day at the dog show yesterday! 🐾☀️

We couldn’t have asked for better weather or a better turnout, with so many wonderful dogs (and their equally wonderful owners!) coming along to take part.

There were some seriously impressive tricks, some very talented junior handlers and plenty of gorgeous dogs! 🐶🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, took part and helped make the day such a success. It was an absolute pleasure to be there representing Kimbolton Vets and to see so many lovely dogs and their families.
