Huge Congratulations to Avril Wilson and SMART TALKING WIMPY “Bert” on their awesome year in the show pen.

A year of a lot of travelling, learning and showing. From solo travels to Devon for clinics, to local arena hires. Competitions in the UK to an amazing and successful trip to Belgium for the Power Reining Circuit 4.

This weekend Avril and Bert have competed at the British Reining Championship show where they laid down some incredible scores and were the highest scoring Non Pro rider. 👏

Very well deserved, to you and beautiful Berty Boy… 💛

So last weekend Rachel and Conal went to Sunshine Tour Champs 2026 at Hickstead they absolutely smashed it with a 5th and 7th place, 68.20% in Prelim and 67.40% in Novice, a huge achievement but very well deserved!
We are all so proud of what they’ve achieved and Rachel has worked extremely hard this year with Conal and it really paid off. A massive congratulations again, our little dressage coblet 💙

Wishing Rachel and Conal the best of luck at The Sunshine Tour at Hickstead this weekend where they will be competing in Dressage.

Rachel and Conal qualified for this in March and so it’s been a long wait, but it’s finally here and we couldn’t be prouder.

Go out there, have fun and enjoy every second, you’ve worked so hard to get here and deserve to go down that centre line…. Make sure you keep smiling 😊

This weekend will see the horses finish their time on 24/7 turnout, and return to their stables overnight with daily turnout. What a summer it’s been….. HOT!! 🥵 we’ve survived 5 heat waves, no grass, fed as much hay during the summer as we do in the winter and used gallons and gallons of water keeping drinking waters fresh daily and horses hosed off to keep them cool.
Sharing a few pictures of my favourite time of day, usually about 6am at breakfast time, most of the time before the heat got too much. In the middle of winter when I’m knee deep in mud and bringing in horses that resemble more of a hippo than a horse it’s always hard to remember these dry, warm mornings, but I will try.

Honestly the best investment we made when we built High Haden Livery, they’ve been used, battered and well lived in by many of our liveries over the years and they still come up beautifully, every year! 🥰🤩
