A trip to Port Royal yesterday for Kalganov doing a nice dressage test even though he nearly fell into the halt🤣 and then two great rounds of show jumping💪🏻 he’s improving each time with his jumping and learning the job more I couldn’t be more pleased with him🥰

Second half of the week at champs💚

On Thursday we had swap over day, Ornate & Imp went home and Boris arrived🙌🏻

That night Boris did 3 rounds of show jumping loving life unfortunately he did have a couple of poles but the fact he was feeling so well was great he loves show jumping at aintree🥳 he did 2 rounds with me then a super speedy class in the jockeys class with Phil to take 3rd place🥉👏🏻

Friday was a rest day for us all🤣 we actually managed to do the grand national tour which was amazing Jane our brilliant tour guide was so inspiring with her knowledge and love for aintree I’m so pleased we got to meet her and do the tour🥰

Saturday Boris had his showing finals where he decided he didn’t want to stand still so after being pulled in 4th he unfortunately threw away his top 10 place after kicking out at the plants on the edge of the arena🫣 he normally stands like a police horse but that day it was a no from him🥴 the joys of horses hey!🤣

That meant we got to enjoy the evening performance cheering on our friends and watching so many beautiful RORs it really is fantastic seeing them😍

All in all the best week with all our favourite people, roll on next year🤩💚

ROR National Championships 2026💚

This year Ornate had his first trip there after qualifying at regionals and him proving what a champion he is at all the shows he’s done this year we thought let’s take him and see what he can do! So at his 7th ever show and first ever national championship he finished 9th🥳 he then got an invite to parade for everyone on the evening and it’s safe to say he LOVED that he loves a crowd and people watching him so yet again walked around and showed everyone what a legend he is🏆 couldn’t be more pleased with him he’s taken it all in his stride and proved he loves his new career🖤💛

Then we did a swap over Ornate travelled home with his best pal Imp and Boris arrived🙌🏻 first up was show jumping for bozman where he loved being back in the Aintree arena jumping round he did get a little too excited and had a couple of annoying poles but we can let him off as some days he can say no😂 Phil then took part in the jockeys class being very speedy and clearing the joker fence they finished in 3rd and both had a great time🥳 a day off to recover on Friday ready for the showing finals on Saturday. We did the veteran and amateur final where unfortunately Boris wasn’t his usual police horse self so deciding not to stand still in the line up caused him to loose any sort placing🤯 but he did go well for the ride judge! Which is always a bonus for the big man!

Thank you to the village of people it takes to organise & look after both the horses at the shows and home, along with Lily without you all I couldn’t do this so I’m forever grateful💗

What a busy weekend😅😮‍💨

We started with our riding club dressage on Thursday evening where Ornate got a PB score to take the win in the intro with 73.1%🥇and then had his second attempt at prelim to get another brilliant score of 70.63% picking up 3rd place🥉👏🏻

Friday was a day at home lots of fields poo picked still not sure what I’d rather poo pick or muck out🤷🏼‍♀️ but Greggi is looking very pregnant chilling with her bestie Dolly and Dottie & Flora are the bestest of friends they do everything in sync🥰 all living their best feral life🤣

On to Saturday a nice early start😵‍💫 to make the trip to Pickering Grange for team quest, where the team finished 3rd👏🏻 and Ornate picked up another win🥇in the My quest despite on paper it not being his best! Kalganov came for a trip out and produced two lovely tests with Amelie who rode him brilliantly💪🏻 Great day with the team though🫶🏻

Then Sunday to finish the weekend off I thought I’d take Boris to Port Royal for a round of show jumping where he was jumping amazing in the warm up tanked me over the first 2 jumps and then said no to fence 3🤦🏼‍♀️ the joys of horses! So a very frustrating journey home🤯 But it was followed by a productive afternoon at home, giving everything a summer clean🧼 setting up a dressage arena for Aintree practice and building some new jumps!💪🏻

Onto to the final prep week ready for ROR champs which is now so soon🫣🥳

ROR Yorkshire Regional Dressage💚

Ornate had his dancing shoes on again and managed to win both his classes with 2 PB scores of 69.32% and 72.69% which gained him another ticket to the national champs at Aintree👏🏻

Another great day out with our besties🥰 thankfully they didn’t try call to each other the whole time this time🤣
