Got a dog with a busy brain that needs a job? This could be it. πΎ
If your dog's idea of a good day involves pacing, finding their own entertainment (usually something you'd rather they didn't), or coming home from a walk still wired, this is for them. Dogs are built to hunt and forage, not just to walk in circles, and scent work finally gives that instinct somewhere to go. Fifteen minutes of sniffing can tire a dog out more than an hour on the lead, and you get a calmer dog for the rest of the evening too.
New scent detection beginners course starting this month, and only 4 spaces left for mantrailing. I'd rather they went to the right dogs.
Scent detection: suitable for any dog or human (dogs worked individually), at the Wellbeing Hub, Hessle. No experience needed, just a nose ready to work. 1-1 sessions also available.
Mantrailing: in Withernsea and Thorne, suitable for dogs who can cope in public places but don't need to be perfectly behaved, trails can be adapted to suit, so nervous or reactive dogs are just as welcome as the confident ones.
