It might be wet and horrible outside for agility class... we will not be beaten! So indoors we go for a different kind of learning!

Yesterday we ran our very first Calm Café workshop at Fuel Café ☕🐾
And honestly? It was blooming lovely.
We talked real-life café skills — settling, patience, reading your dog, managing excitement, and helping dogs actually cope in busy environments rather than just surviving them.
Because not every dog needs to be “perfect” in a café.
They just need support, understanding, and a plan.
After the workshop, a few people asked if there was a way to access the companion booklet without attending in person — so I’ve decided to make it available for £5.
The Calm Café Companion Guide includes:
• practical tips you can use straight away
• calm-building ideas for café environments
• support-focused guidance (no pressure, no perfection)
• reminders that progress > perfection
If you’d like a copy, comment or message me and I’ll sort you out.
I’m out in the field at the moment so I haven’t popped it on the website just yet, but I’ll add a proper link later — this post is just to get the feelers out and help anyone who couldn’t make it yesterday.

This. Always this. 💙💜
Dog training (and learning in general) should leave people feeling supported, encouraged, and confident — not judged, embarrassed, or like they’ve “failed”.
If someone walks away feeling heavier than when they arrived, something’s gone wrong.
Let’s be the reason people feel braver, lighter, and ready to try again.
With their dogs. With themselves. With life.
Ten years of muddy boots, waggy tails, nervous first sessions, big breakthroughs, laughter, tears, field chats, café dogs, chaos, calm… and finding our mojo again and again.
Today’s celebration?
Coffee. Cake. A quiet “bloody hell, I did it” moment.
Here’s to progress not perfection, training with heart, and everything still to come 💙💜

Ten years of Mojo Dogs 🥳🐾
Today’s celebration?
Coffee. Cake. A quiet “bloody hell, I did it” moment.
Here’s to progress not perfection, training with heart, and everything still to come 💙💜
Not perfectly trained.
Not glued to the floor.
Not switched off from the world.
Just comfortable enough to look around… then settle… then rest.
Calm like this doesn’t happen by accident.
It’s built through experiences, support, and understanding what your dog actually needs in busy spaces.
If café trips feel stressful, chaotic, or like something your dog just “can’t do” — you’re not alone.
And you’re definitely not failing.
I’m talking all things calm, real-life café dogs in my Calm Café Dogs talk on 7th January — what helps, what hinders, and how to set your dog up to succeed without pressure.
Because calm isn’t taught.
It’s created. 💙💜

I’ve been a dog lover all my life which has completely taken hold over the last 16 years. I have three dogs who are my best friends (when they don’t roll in fox p**p!) Both of my dogs are always learning new things and train and compete at agility.
I've now hung up the lead on the rat race and I'm following my dream to work with dogs. Dogs are my passion and I want to see as many happy dogs out there as possible. I've completed a Diploma in dog behaviour, I’m currently studying towards becoming a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor (KCAI) and I am an Agility Club Approved 1st Class Instructor. I continue to learn as much about dogs as I can, with better understanding we can have amazing relationships with our oldest animal friends.
