Your dog’s eyes can tell you plenty about how they’re feeling and sometimes their health too.

👁️ Keep an eye out for physical changes too, including redness, swelling, excessive watering, discharge, cloudiness, squinting or rubbing their eyes. If you notice anything unusual or sudden, it’s best to speak to your vet.

🐾 The biggest mistake people make with puppy socialisation?

Thinking it means your puppy needs to say hello to everyone! Remember not all dogs are friendly, some dogs are nervous and so are reactive. Remember, not every dog is friendly or comfortable with other dogs. Some dogs may be nervous, anxious, fearful or reactive. Even a friendly dog may simply not want a bouncy puppy rushing over to say hello!

Socialisation is actually about helping your puppy feel confident, calm and comfortable in the world around them. ❤️

That means gently introducing them to:
🐾 New sounds and sights
🐾 Different surfaces and environments
🐾 People, dogs and everyday life
🐾 New places and experiences — at a pace they can cope with

And while you're helping your puppy learn about the world, don't forget what's going into their bowl too. 🥣
