Nikki’s Paws and Relax Pet Sitting Welcome to Nikki's Paws and Relax Pet Sitting Service Welcome to my page. I'm Nikki and am so lucky to be living in Hornsea by the sea.

I provide a pet sitting service in Hornsea and the surrounding villages. I offer pet sitting, staying overnight at your property for the duration of your time away, ensuring your animals feel safe in their own environment whilst you have a care free and relaxing holiday. If you have an appointment or day trip planned, I am also available for ad-hoc drop-ins in Hornsea for companionship and toilet

breaks. After having rescue dogs and cats for a number of years, I am an experienced pet owner and I have plenty of love and attention to shower your pets with. Just finished a week's sit for this gorgeous girl Coco, with brief interactions with family outdoor cats Peanut and Poppy. Their humans have just booked me for next year's holiday and they've only just landed back in the UK ✈️❤️🐶😼😸

Drowning prevention for Dogs🐶
Drowning Prevention Week in the UK isn’t just for people, our pets need protection too. Whether you’re heading to the beach, enjoying a paddleboarding session, or letting your dog cool off in a stream, water safety is just as important for our four-legged friends.
While many dogs love the water, not all are strong swimmers, and accidents can happen quickly.

🐶 Know Your Dog’s Swimming Ability
Not every dog is a natural swimmer. Start in shallow, calm water and let your dog build confidence. Never throw them in or force them to swim.

🐶 Use a Canine Life Jacket
Whether you’re boating, paddleboarding, or at the beach, a dog life jacket is a must. Look for one with:
Buoyant padding
Sturdy grab handle
Adjustable straps
Bright colour for visibility

🐶 Always Supervise
Never leave your dog unsupervised near water

🐶 Teach Your Dog How to Exit the Water
Dogs can panic if they don’t know how to get out. When swimming in pools or on docks, show your dog the exit route and practice using it.

Water play can be one of the best parts of summer—for you and your dog!
So whether you’re hitting the beach, gliding along on a paddleboard, or exploring the lakeside, make safety part of the plan. A little preparation goes a long way in keeping those tail-wagging adventures happy and safe!🐶
