So many tags. So many much-loved pups.

Less than a year ago, we put up the Remembrance Walls at K9 Meadows. Now, they’re sporting lots and lots of tags in memory of pups who have sadly passed away.

It’s a poignant sight, but also a lovely one. Because every tag represents a pup who mattered. A pup who was very much loved, had adventures, and was an important part of someone’s life.

We know that losing a pup leaves a very big space behind. So we wanted to create somewhere at K9 Meadows where their names could stay, their lives could be remembered, and their place in their families could be celebrated.

To every pup represented on our wall: you were clearly loved. And you’re clearly still missed. ❤️

Each K9 Meadows shelter has its own community noticeboard, where local dog-related businesses and services can share flyers and business cards.

Dog groomer? Trainer? Walker? Photographer? Pet sitter? Something else the dog-loving community might want to know about? Pin it up during your next visit.

It’s there for K9 Meadows visitors to discover what’s on offer locally, so if you run a dog-related business, feel free to make use of the space.

Drought? What drought? Nose-work won’t wait! While the rest of the grass had a bit of a bronze moment this summer, the K9 Meadows team has been doing serious steps with the watering cans to keep our ‘Scent-sational Sniffing Areas’ green, fragrant, and ready for action. Anything to keep those tails wagging and noses sniffing!

We took K9 Meadows on the road! Well... to Longacres, anyway.

We spent Monday introducing K9 Meadows to people who hadn't heard of us yet, answering lots of questions, and chatting to fellow pup lovers.

Even better, we got to catch up with a few familiar faces too; a few K9 Meadowers were also there, spotted us, and came over to say hello!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by. It was lovely to see you all!

Keeping K9 Meadows beautiful is a team effort.

One of the things we love most about K9 Meadows is how lovely and clean the fields are. That doesn’t happen by accident: it’s thanks to all the wonderful K9 Meadowers who make the effort to pick up after their pups.

We want every pup to have the freedom to run, sniff and explore, and every human to enjoy walking around the fields without having to watch every single step!

So, if your pup leaves a little present behind, please pop it in one of the bins provided. A few seconds of effort makes a big difference and helps keep K9 Meadows clean, beautiful, and ready for the next adventure.

And a **huge thank you to the vast majority of our K9 Meadowers who always pick up after their pups**. You’re doing a brilliant job of keeping our fields looking great!

Josephine has found her new favourite spot at K9 Meadows:

- Shade? Yes.
- Trees? Plenty.
- Sniffing opportunities? Obviously.
- Other pups getting in the way? Absolutely not.

Just Josephine, the trees, and as much sniffing and exploring as she likes. This is what freedom looks like for pups at K9 Meadows!

Lucia: 2014–2025 ❤️

Whether we’re lucky enough to have them for 11 years, 15 years or even 18, it’s never long enough.

Lucia is now remembered on our Remembrance Wall in Scoopydoo, alongside other very special pups who may no longer be with us, but are never far from our hearts.

Thinking of Lucia and all those pups who brightened up our days ❤️

The weekend is here… even if the weather appears to have other ideas!

Wishing all our K9 Meadowers and their wonderful pups a brilliant weekend, whatever the rain decides to do. After all, a bit of mud and drizzle is hardly going to stop a pup from having a good time!

We’ll be popping over to the fields as usual and can’t wait to see plenty of familiar faces, wagging tails and, hopefully, a few new four-legged friends too.

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone - raincoats on, towels in the shelters all ready!
