Maggie and Molly visited the salon today from Helen’s Happy Hounds for a bath and brush 🛁✨ Such angels — they were absolute stars from start to finish!

I feel so privileged to be surrounded by so many other wonderful independent pet businesses in our area 🧡 There's nothing like a community that supports each other.

Speaking of which — I'm loving all our gorgeous new products from Clipit Grooming 🙌 the best quality products equals fresh, happy pups!

🐾 It’s a hard life being this cute! 🐾

We love seeing our 4 legged friends feel relaxed, happy and right at home in the salon ❤️

Reminder to check ear, feet and through your doggies coat. Grass seeds are horrible things for our pets!

This is exactly why we refuse to de-mat dogs. One painful groom can set an animal up for a life time of hating the process.

A couple of small tangles here and there can usually be safely trimmed, and loose dead coat can often be brushed out. But when a dog is heavily matted or pelted, the kindest and safest option is to clip the coat short for their comfort and welfare.

Thankfully, in the UK, it is illegal to brush or comb out matting for prolonged periods, with guidance limiting this to 15 minutes. Unfortunately, many owners—and even some groomers—aren’t aware of this.

In 8 years of grooming, I’ve never had to turn a dog away. Every decision I make is based on what’s safest, kindest, and least stressful for pets. Their comfort and welfare will always come first. ✌️🐾

🐾 We absolutely love a puppy groom! 🥰

Our puppy grooms start from just £30 and are all about building confidence and making grooming a positive experience.

Suitable for puppies from 12 weeks old (once signed off by your vet after vaccinations) up to 6 months.

The perfect start to a lifetime of happy grooming! ❤️

Message us to book your puppy’s first pamper. 🐶🐾

Super excited to be welcoming Lindsey to the team at Red Dog Grooming! 🐾

Lindsey is currently studying for her Level 3 Dog Grooming qualification and is excelling throughout her course. She’s thoroughly enjoying her training and is looking forward to qualifying.

For now, you’ll see Lindsey helping with bathing and drying our furry clients, as well as working behind the scenes on our social media.

A few fun facts:
🐶 She has two dogs of her own, Lulu and Lady.
✂️ Before starting her dog grooming journey, she previously worked as a fully qualified hairdresser.

We’re delighted to have Lindsey on board and can’t wait for you all to meet her! ❤️
