Today we learnt the sad news that the lovey charlie brown has passed. We've had the absolute pleasure of walking him for many years.
12 years old, and what a character. ❤️
If there was a log, he’d climb it and If there was a pheasant, he’d chase it!

Over the years you spend so many hours with these dogs. You learn all their funny little ways, what makes their tails wag, what they’ll try to get away with and exactly what that look in their eye means! They stop being simply a client’s dog and become part of the family.
It’s one of the hardest parts of doing a job we love so much, eventually having to say goodbye.
After so many walks and muddy paws it’s incredibly sad knowing there won’t be another adventure together.
12 wonderful years, and so many memories left behind.

Find the biggest logs to climb and chase all the pheasants your heart desires.
You were loved, you were a character, and you will be very much missed. ❤️
Thinking especially of his family today. Thank you for trusting me with your precious boy for all these years. It really has been a privilege. ###

🐾 MEET THE TEAM – JAN 🐾

Next up is Jan – my mum! ❤️

Mum officially joined the Walking Woofs team in 2024, when we made the move to Milton Farm and she relocated all the way from Scotland to join us.

She’s a pretty important piece of the WW puzzle and can usually be found in daycare reception, ready to greet the dogs (and you!), helping oversee the gang throughout the day and giving everyone a once-over before home time — removing burrs, pesky grass seeds, knots and whatever other bits of the Devon countryside they’ve managed to bring back with them! 😂🐶

Mum’s knowledge and experience with dogs spans many, many years. She’s a Crufts-level dog show handler, retired groomer and breeder, as well as a qualified dog show judge — so there’s not much about dogs that gets past her!

She brings a huge amount of experience, knowledge and, of course, plenty of cuddles to the team.

Every good team needs a Mum… and we’re lucky enough to have ours! 💙🐾🧡

🐾 THE DAYCARE AFTER-EFFECT… 💤😂

One full day of running, playing, sniffing, chasing friends, exploring the paddocks and generally living their absolute best life… *with some snoozes thrown in....

Followed by approximately 14 seconds of consciousness after getting home. 😂
💤 Batteries: DEPLETED
🐕 Legs: OFFLINE
👀 Eyes: CLOSED FOR BUSINESS
😴 Do not disturb until further notice.
The Walkingwoofs Daycare Hangover is very real! 😂🐾💙
Play hard. Sleep harder.

Back on with the waterproofs and wellies today. And back with the mud... please make sure you leave a towel out from now. :)

Monday and back with a bang.
So lovely to see the doggies after a week off.
Started with a walk in blackborough woods, on to St cyres Wood and then a paddock session at Milton. Lots of fun and games.
