Meet little Clover. She was born 7 days ago. We didn't think this little lady would make it.
She didn't feed for a good while, which is normal. But as we got to 4 hours, we did start to worry. Eddie wanted nothing to do with her. Biting and kicking her away. It is vital cria receive colostrum from mum, as they are born without anti bodies. They can become susceptible to infection. We tried desperately to milk Eddie and give the cria as much as possible. After several phone calls to the vet, and with no plasma transfusion available, we decided to bottle feed her. She was fed every two hours.
Her and Eddie were penned in to bond. Clover took the bottle right away. It was a sad sight seeing them penned in, with the expectation of losing Clover anyway, we decided to put her with the rest of the herd. Clover refused bottles, it turns out she had been feeding from Eddie!

We're still not sure how long we'll have this little one, but while she's here, we'll keep her as comfortable and happy as we can 🍀

Still waiting for Eddie to give birth, we thought she would be ready at least two weeks ago!
All cria are looking and growing well. Already turning into tiny terrors! I love it 😀

It looks to have possibly been a little traumatic.

Mum & cria had a good night. Both appear bright and well this morning. Baby is up and about enjoying her milk 😊

Shearing and birthing!

All the animals have been sheared..and then it rains 🌧 typical!

Our new stud Patou Nevsky, was put to work last year. It would appear, he has been very successful.

Two safe arrivals last week 🙌 beautiful baby girls. They were both born in the rain so had an extra eye on them. Both appear healthy, energetic little bundles.
