One of the Red Tractor standards recommends that at least one member of staff has undertaken training on a veterinary-run medicines course and holds a certificate of competence. As of February 2025, Red Tractor standards now state that this training must be completed every 5 years for the dairy sector.
What will be covered:

- Appropriate use of medicines
- Correct administration of medicines
- Correct medicine storage and record keeping
Attendees will receive a Certificate of Competence.

A reminder of the Holsworthy Market Health Hub Coast & Country Primary Care Network big Heart Health event on Wednesday 9th September.

Heart failure can also develop after certain infections, chemotherapy or other treatments that damage the heart.

♥️Coronary artery disease or a previous heart attack
🧡High blood pressure (hypertension)
💛Diabetes
💜Obesity
🩷Heart valve disease
♥️Abnormal heart rhythms, especially atrial fibrillation
🧡Cardiomyopathy or other diseases of the heart muscle
💛Congenital heart disease
🩷Chronic kidney disease
💜Smoking or heavy alcohol use
♥️A family history of cardiomyopathy or heart failure
🧡Increasing age, particularly older adults

What a wonderful day we had this month at Holsworthy and Stratton Agricultural Show!

It was a brilliant day and lovely to see so many farmers, families and members of the local community coming together.

A huge thank you to Penbode Farm Vets for accommodating us this year- we really appreciate your support and hospitality.

A great way to end our show season, today we presented a cheque to The Farming Community Network.

Our Penbode Farm Vets Charity Summer Ball raised a total of £5729.05 for The FCN and £988.05 for Clawton Young Farmers.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the ball, it was a fantastic night and we are beyond pleased with the amount raised for two fabulous charities!

Save the date for The Penbode Hoedown 🤠🎶 September 25th 2027. The Summer Ball will be back for 2028!
