What do you get up to with your dog on a Sunday evening?

I spent some time grooming my boy this evening. It is particularly important in the warmer and humid weather because he’s a golden retriever, meaning he is double-coated and has a dense undercoat which can need a little help to shed the dead or “blown” fur in the undercoat.

You can see the result in the photos - a photo of the undercoat that was ready to come out and one of my boy looking a little sleeker and feeling a lot cooler!

Dream big! 🐾✨ Sometimes dreams do come true, and in the case of this retriever pup it’s all about tennis balls! 🎾🎾🎾

Not all dogs are food-driven, so have a think about what your dog loves most - it could be a ball, a toy, a cuddle or a treat! Tapping into what makes them tick makes training easier and more enjoyable for you both!

Someone said to me yesterday that I have the best job, surrounded by dogs all day. And there’s no argument from me: BEST JOB EVER! 🥰🐾

I get to hang out with this delightful chap and his compadres for a spot of dog sitting this week. The key thing is keeping them cool in the heatwave, so staying indoors or in the shade in the hottest parts of the day and keeping things slow and chilled. 😎 🐾💛
