This Bat Weekend, let’s give our night-time neighbours a helping hand! 🌙

Bats are under increasing pressure from habitat loss, which means fewer natural roosting spaces are available for them to rest and raise their young. Putting up a bat box is a simple way to provide a safe, undisturbed place for bats to roost. 🦇🏡

📍 Siting your bat box
✅ 3–6 metres high – place the box well above ground level.
✅ On a tree or under the eaves of your house – choose a quiet, sheltered location.
✅ South, south-east or south-west facing – bats like warmth, so a sunny position is ideal.

With the right spot, your garden could become a welcome roost for these amazing nocturnal visitors. 🌙🦇
