Pond has now been reopened!
The bottom of the pond has been cleaned out, lined and filled with stone! This in theory should stop the horrible clay from swelling upwards too much and keep the water cleaner!
A new slip way has been built in with side barriers as per customer request! This certainly makes it a lot easier for the elderly to swim (elderly dogs that is!)
Also fixed the fence to enter the pond area, that's been on my to do list for far too long!
Also, 6 new trees have been added to the site, eventually these will provide some shade and texture to the site! PLEASE don't let you dogs even look at them π
they will have stump protectors next week, but I really don't want dogs thinking they're new chew toys! These do need watering every day, so if they look thirsty, please do help yourself to the bucket, scoop some water out the pond and give them a drink! (Yes I'm asking for help π
)
A HUGE thankyou to Lucy Precious Paws Dog Walking for doing all the hard work, all the dangerous stuff and getting wet in the pond (while I sat comfortably in the digger) β€οΈ
A special thanks to Chew Valley Trees for quick supply and sending me the best of the bunch!!
And as always, massive thanks to Donna at Commando Plant & Tool Hire for hooking me up with another digger with only 12hrs notice π
Happy swimming!
P.S - you still need to pick up the poo! π
