Handsome Stanley visited us for a dental, but luckily didn't need to have any teeth removed, just a nice clean up! He lets his owners stay on top of his dental care at home, which would help his teeth to stay healthy ๐ฆท๐
Tooth brushing and general dental care at home can help to keep our pets' teeth healthier, and help to delay the need for tooth extractions.
However, depending on factors such as tolerance, the shape of the mouth, tooth overcrowding, etc, it can be hard to reach all the areas, and plaque can start to build up. Our vets can check the health of the gums and teeth (from root to tip) while the pet is anaesthetised and make sure every part is as clean and healthy as can be!
