โ๏ธ๐ถ HOT WEATHER WARNING FOR DOG OWNERS ๐ถโ๏ธ
As temperatures rise, itโs important to remember that hot weather can become extremely dangerous for our dogs very quickly. Dogs cannot cool themselves the same way humans can, which means heatstroke and burnt paws are real risks during warm days.
โ ๏ธ Signs of heatstroke in dogs: โข Excessive panting
โข Drooling
โข Vomiting or diarrhoea
โข Weakness or collapse
โข Bright red gums or tongue
โข Dizziness or confusion
โข High body temperature
โข Unwillingness to move
๐พ Please remember: โข Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening
โข Always provide fresh, clean water
โข Avoid hot pavements โ if itโs too hot for your hand, itโs too hot for paws
โข Never leave dogs in cars, even for a few minutes
โข Create cool shaded areas at home
โข Use damp towels or cooling mats to help keep them cool
At just 25ยฐC, pavements can reach temperatures hot enough to burn your dogโs paws in seconds.
Letโs keep our pets safe, cool, and happy this summer โค๏ธ๐ถ
