Storm's owner explained that she has a real fear of having her nails clipped, so they usually have to be done at the vets under sedation. Because of this, I left her nails alone and focused on making the rest of her groom as positive and stress-free as possible.

She also isn't a fan of water, so her much-needed de-shed was definitely a challenge! I worked at her pace, keeping her stress levels as low as possible throughout. Although I ended up absolutely SOAKED trying to keep her in the bath 😂, it was such a pleasure to groom this beautiful girl. 🫶🏼🐾

Nala 🌸

Puppy package visit 2 was 2 weeks ago and I identified some reactivity when touching her paws & trying to clip her nails. Nala was also nervous of the shower pump noise so I invited her lovely owners along to stay for visit 3 to help support Nala in growing her confidence.

Visit 3 took place today & Nala was amazing 👏🏼
Alittle nervous to start with in the shower, however with her owner providing lots of reassurance, she was accepting her number 1 favourite treat of chicken within about 1 minute 🤗
The dryer stayed on a soft setting, no nozzle to reduce noise and pressure. Nala got more relaxed as time went on.
Clippers were tricky around the paws, so we'll do a focused session soon to get her nails trimmed and paw pads clipped.
In the meantime, her owners are going to work on desensitising her to paw handling at home 🫶🏼
