Thank you to the 50 or so people who came and entered the quiz run by the staff at the Pleasure Boat in Hickling last night.
Big thanks to the staff for raising a wonderful £175.
We also threw together a last minute raffle which due to everyones generosity raised a further £102. Magic!

*** PUPDATE 10.30AM 18/10/26 --- DOG FOUND!!!! ***

Spot was successfully caught when he decided to come back to the rescue and a staff member managed to catch him! He's cold and hungry but otherwise well, a warm up, good feed and a full check over now happening.

Thank you to everyone who helped us with this!!

PHEW!

*** MISSING DOG FROM FAITH! ***

***UPDATE 17/10/26***

We have had a few confirmed sightings of Spot now and have a small co-ordinate team looking for and trapping Spot, can we please ask that no one else goes down to the Mill area or over the marshes with their dogs or on their own as its proving hard to lure Spot back out being such a nervous, flighty dog. Its having a negative effect with too many people down there pushing the dog further away. We have a firm plan in place and are working towards getting Spot back in a calm controlled manner.
We have had Drones with Thermal imaging cameras, thermal goggles and other measures in place.
Thanks everyone so far that has helped, it means a lot x

***Original Post***

Spot has managed to escape from the rescue, last seen bolting towards the nature reserve next to the rescue at the bottom of Stubb road in Hickling.

Spot is a 1 year old grey (Isabella coloured) Dachshund.

We have search parties looking everywhere but is you do see him, potentially still with a lead attached, then please call us immediately on;

01692 598312 - leave a message if no answer due to staff out searching, this number does divert to staff mobile phones.

He is nervous and will probably run from you but please just call us with any sightings so we can get him back safely.

Ben is ready for adoption!

This handsome young chap is ready to find his forever home. Ben is a 2 1/2 years old and super friendly Lurcher, we are saying no cats as he finds them way to interesting to chase and older kids 10+ only please due to his bouncy nature.
Ben does pull on the lead and this will need further training but he is clean as a whistle in his kennel so nicely house trained. Best as only pet as he can react to other dogs.

If you have the ideal home for this gorgeous smiler then please fill in a form at the following link stating Ben in the appropriate box.

KNITTERS and CREATURE COLLCTORS !
Sorry I've been out of touch for 10 days or so been a bit ill but better now. There are still some people waiting for patterns I know.
Since I last posted we were so low on creatures some ladies have sent in some huge quantities like our Janice in Scotland...200!!! She is amazing.
Nancy Everson about 60
and yesterday an incredible 2 boxes from Sue Bird. All new creatures and she's made up the patterns herself! Others from Donna, 50 plus stuffed hedgehogs from Marian Grimes and from more people.
We now have a lovely collection of spiders 🕷 pumpkins 🎃 ghosts 👻 and bats ready for Halloween. They are currently at my house in Ormesby but by the weekend will be for sale in The Waterside cafe in Rollesby and The Fisherman's Return in Winterton. They will be sold in a flash I know.
We have 5 quirky stuffed spiders some stuffed pumpkins and gonks.
I will put prices in comments under pictures.
If you want to buy any of our knitted items before they reach the shops you need to pm me (Bernadette Stubbings) quickly cash and collect from me.
A glimpse of some of the Xmas creatures that have been made for the Yarmouth Xmas fayre
21st 22nd 23rd November.
We have 300 ready. We sold 750 last year so please keep knitting like crazy 🤪
