Our livestock, are now, only surviving by eating all the feed we take out to them in the field ,as all our fields look like a desert …..

Haemonchus - is my Flock at risk?

There's more Haemonchus (barber's pole worm) cases about than usual, due to this very hot weather we have experienced ,the last few months.
It's a worrying parasite because it doesn't behave like the worms you'd normally have in mind, and that's how it catches people out.
The lack of scouring, makes farmers not notice a problem soon enough, often causing irreversible damage to the sheep/lamb
and bottle jaw observed is sometimes wrongly diagnosed as liver fluke.
