🐷 Princess’s story so far… 💔👑
Our wonderful vets from Belmont Farm & Equine Vetsp came to check over Princess, and sadly, the picture isn’t a good one.
They believe she’s a potbellied pig crossed with a Kune Kune, or a similar breed. She’s a senior girl in very poor condition.
💔 Her bladder is enlarged, and she still hasn’t had a wee since arriving with us.
💔 Her back end is very sore.
💔 Despite our initial suspicions, the vet doesn’t think she’s pregnant. Her size is more likely to be due to being overweight, potentially caused by a poor diet and lack of space to move around.
Princess has now been given antibiotics and painkillers to help make her more comfortable. She’ll be wormed and receive further care later this week.
For now, she needs time, patience and a safe place to rest while we work out what she needs, she has slept all day today bless her.
After everything she’s been through, she deserves nothing less. 👑❤️
