Our lovely Jax sadly fractured her ankle after a fall whilst walking her dog! ❤️‍🩹 But that hasn’t stopped her from coming into work to be there for your pets. 💕

🍂 Autumn Risks for Pets: Toxicities to Watch Out For ~

🍫 Chocolate – With Halloween around the corner, chocolate is toxic for pets, especially dogs. Keep all sweets out of reach!

🍇 Grapes & Raisins– Even small amounts can cause kidney failure in dogs, so be cautious with seasonal treats that include these ingredients.

🍄 Mushrooms– Wild mushrooms start popping up in autumn and can be toxic to pets if ingested. Keep a close eye during walks!

🪵 Conkers & Acorns– These autumn treasures can cause blockages or be poisonous if swallowed by pets. Watch out while your pets explore outdoors.

🌱 Autumn plants– Many fall plants like Chrysanthemums and Yew are toxic if eaten by pets. Keep them out of reach!

💚🧡The incredible story of Ratchet the stray iguana!🧡💚

This beautiful girl was luckily brought into us after being found on a construction site at Ickleford Flour Mill.

We shared a post about her and, amazingly, her owners came forward!! 🤩

Ratchet had actually been missing for 3 months after escaping from her outdoor tropical enclosure, leaving behind her other iguana friend. Travelling around 4 miles from home! …How she survived we do not know!

Her owners never thought they would see her again, so you can imagine how happy they were to find out that Ratchet was safe and well! 🥹💚

They were absolutely over the moon to be taking her home and reuniting her with her other iguana.

We’re so pleased this story had such a lovely ending! 🦎🥰

♥️ Beautiful Teddy ♥️

Teddy is a 13-year-old Staffie, and we absolutely LOVE an older Staffie! 🥹 Just look at those little eyes! 😍 Such a sweet boy!

Teddy came to see us for a dental procedure after suffering with severe dental disease.

Before his anaesthetic, Teddy had blood tests which showed some elevated liver and kidney values. To investigate these changes further and make sure there were no underlying concerns that could affect his anaesthetic, Anna performed an abdominal ultrasound to check his organs before proceeding.

Teddy then underwent his dental and, after a long procedure, he made a full recovery from his anaesthetic. ❤️‍🩹 We’re sure he’ll be feeling so much better once he has fully healed!

Our lovely Leah looked after Teddy throughout his anaesthetic, our wonderful Anna performed his ultrasound, and lovely Hannah carried out his dental procedure. 🥰

He certainly got to meet plenty of the Henlow team during his visit and was truly well looked after every step of the way.

Get well soon, Teddy! You brave boy! 🫶🏻
