The difference with our kennels?

We will adapt our hours & routines where we can to suit the dogs 🐾 Tailor made boarding 🐾

This week, Stacey has been up and out at 0430 most mornings, and will continue to do so to get everyone exercised before it’s too hot. Today was a total of 8 x 40min walks, 23,458 steps, all before 1015!

Georgie has been covering the afternoons; ensuring the fans are all working, the floors are hosed and kept cool, and the dogs have access to the shady garden & sand arena for short periods before getting icy snacks (frozen kongs, goat milk lollies & more!)

Evenings this week are a combination staff covering 2100 walks or exercise, and last let outs up to as late as 2300!

We love the summer and love our job working with all the dogs - but a few degrees less would at least give us all a lie in 🤣🤣

Five Star Canine Fitness and Training’s liam_o_keeffe, Irish National IGP Champion 2026 is back at RK9 headquarters end of July!

Liam is a fantastic trainer & IGP helper, and works with you to get the best out of you and your dog - workshops are primarily for those with an interest in IGP, however 1:1s can be tailored to your needs, be it puppy foundations for sport, or tracking specific, or something else!

With the hot hot HOT 🔥 weather we’ve had this week, routines for the boarding kennels have changed a little - 0500-0800 walkies in the morning shade, afternoon/evening frozen food enrichment, paddling pool time and evening field hires for a last leg stretch after 2000 when it’s cooled down! The dogs are happy & rested, me however, might need to start having afternoon siestas!

This is Carrie - she’s currently in foster, but like all our boarding dogs, we ensure they get suitable exercise to meet their needs 🐾

When you choose us to board your dog with, you get to choose a package to suit their individual routines, from basic board with time out in the garden & sand arena, to board & enrichment with enclosed field time, lead walks and Canicross / Bikejor or even hydrotherapy and treadmill time available to add on!

Some limited summer availabilty remaining, so if you’re looking for a great place to leave your four paws whilst you holiday, look no further! They’ll likely have a better holiday than yours 😍🤣
