A solid sit stay - such a simple and overlooked skill.
My favourite use is for photo opportunities obviously.. but it comes in great use for countless scenarios.
📌 Waiting for dinner
📌To cross the road
📌Sit on scales in a vets
📌Waiting whilst you queue for a coffee. what other uses do you have for a sit?

If you need help teaching why not come along to classes.

Does your life match your dogs instincts?

Clearly I don't have a flock of sheep in my garden!..
It's so important to think about the breed you choose when getting a dog.
Collies are born to herd..this can show up in herding you, wanting to control everyone and thing that moves, nipping at your ankles.
Do you have a Labrador.. do they constantly find and carry your things around?!!..
GSD always barking and reactive, a terrier digging holes in the garden?..

Think about what traits are bred into them to make them the breeds we love so much.
I compete in agility, play herding games, tricks and regular training.. keeping their brains busy. Walks are a very small part of their lives.
Try to think of ways we can help our pet dogs that were essentially bred to work .. and may get bored with sofa snuggles more than they let on! 🫣

Play!!
I've always been a huge advocate for rewards.. especially through play.
Here my dog Zero has been struggling with some jumping skills & quick bursts of rewards let him know what I've asked for has been achieved..
A wonderful frustration release and enjoyment/bonding time too!

When do you use your toy rewards??
