🎃👻KEEPING PETS SAFE THIS HALLOWEEN 👻🎃

Halloween can be full of spooky fun for us, but it can be a little frightening for our pets. Here are a few tips to keep your pets safe this spooky season! 🕸️

🍫Chocolate, sweets containing xylitol and raisins are toxic to pets! Keep all Halloween treats out of reach.

🎃Move candle lit pumpkins out of reach from your pets and be sure to dispose of them safely to prevent pets or wildlife eating them once they turn mouldy. Never leave candlelit pumpkins unattended outside.

☀️ Walk dogs during the day and encourage outdoor cats to come home earlier to prevent stress once activities start in the evening.

🕸️ Dangly decorations can cause hazards if chewed, swallowed or if your pets gets tangled in them. Ensure these are out of reach from your pets.

👚 Dressing up is fun for us but most pets do not enjoy this. Costumes can make pets feel stressed or anxious.

🏠 Provide a calm and quiet area for your pets to go to if they need some space away from the spooky fun

📞 Remember: if you think your pet has eaten something toxic, contact us promptly on 01442842211 for advice. Never wait for symptoms to appear.

Have a safe and spooky Halloween! 👻

😍🤗🐾🩵 Super boy Spookie 🩵🐾🤗😍

Lovely Spookie was in today to monitor his blood pressure 🩺⚕️

Our lovely RVN/practice manager gave him lots of cuddles to make sure that he was relaxed and calm throughout so that we could get accurate results. 🎉🎉🥳🥳

Blood pressure measurement is important in older pets and a part of the monitoring protocol for chronic conditions like kidney disease.

Spookie was super brave and behaved beautifully as always 🩵🩵😍😍🐶🐶🤗🤗

Has your older pet had a routine visit to discuss common geriatric conditions?
Call us to book if we can help.
