Highland Home Pet Services Not every pet owner wants to put their pets in to a kennel or cattery when they go away. And not all animals settle in different surroundings.

That\'s where Highland Home Pet Services help. I look after your pets in their own home for the duration of your time away, keeping them happy in their own environment. Meaning your pet is much happier and you have the security of someone in your house looking after your home whilst you are away. In addition to cats & dogs, other animals I have cared for are: geese, ducks, hens, & pigs. If you own a small croft and have other animals that need feeding and caring for I am happy to discuss :) Your pets and or animals are looked after and cared for as if they were one of my own. I have an agricultural background of dairy and mixed arable (although that was many moons ago). And made the leap from the corporate world to pet services and haven't looked back! I can also offer emergency cover if you or a loved one are taken ill or are required elsewhere to deal with life.

Back with the beautiful Skye for a few days 😍 we were straight up to Curr woods this morning so I could check the ant hill 🐜 🤣 I have watched it steadily grow over the years and always look forward to checking it when I'm here; everyone needs a hobby 😂😁

My last full day with Bertielicious and Nellie-belly 🥹 before I pick their peoples up from the airport tonight and head home myself tomorrow. The weather is yuk, Nellie hates the rain so she's quite happily curled up. Bertie however doesn't care what the weather is and is having a power nap before we go off exploring. Will definitely need my waterproof jacket 🌧 🌬

SERVICE CHANGE FOR 2027

I'm getting lots of enquiries for pet sitting in 2027, so I thought I would update everyone.

Many of you will know that, alongside running Highland Home Pet Services, I also work part-time at Highland Wildlife Rescue in Brora. I feel incredibly fortunate to have not one, but two jobs that I genuinely love.

Whilst I truly love pet sitting – and it really is a privilege – the work Highland Wildlife Rescue carries out is vital for our native wildlife. And if this year's patient intake numbers are anything to go by, 2027 is set to be our busiest year yet.

As a result, I will be significantly reducing my pet sitting commitments to enable me to increase my hours at the rescue centre next year. A small number of existing customers will remain on my books where I can continue to provide the high standard of care they deserve alongside my rescue work, without compromising either role.

I love your fur, feathered and fleece faces like my own, and it's been emotional already starting to say my goodbyes. It actually feels like repeatedly going through a breakup! 😭

Running Highland Home Pet Services has been an incredible journey, and it has been an honour to care for your pets, livestock and homes over the years. Thank you for your trust, support and friendship – it has meant the world to me, and will continue to do so for those I can continue to accommodate.

Thank you ❤️

Eat when you're hungry.
Sleep when you're tired.
Enjoy the sunshine.
Get plenty of belly rubs.
And always find time for a really good snooze 🤣❤️

Is Nellie allowed on the sofa, nope! Am I going to tell her, also nope 🤣 because I love Nellie snuggles 🤗 I should point out that I had put her cosy cover on the other sofa, but she clearly has other ideas 🙃
