Lady Aurora came to visit Home Farm tonight! 🌌

Oh my goodness, what a show!!

After a couple of glasses of w**e 🍷🍷 we decided to venture out into the field to see if we could catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

Well, we certainly weren’t disappointed! Nearly ended up face-first in the undergrowth a couple of times, but we reckon the photographs were worth it! 🤣

We spend so much of our time looking down at the earth, sowing seeds, tending our flowers and watching everything grow… but tonight was a lovely reminder to look up. ✨

And there’s something rather magical about knowing that beneath all those stars, our little seeds are tucked up in the soil, quietly getting ready for another season of flowers. 🌱🌸

From the soil beneath our feet to the stars above our heads, nature never ceases to amaze us.

What a beautiful night here in our little corner of Scotland.

Did anyone else manage to catch Lady Aurora tonight?

P.S. We made it back to the farmhouse in one piece. Just! 🤣🍷

🎃🌸 ONE LEFT! 🌸🎃

We have just one of our fresh flower pumpkin arrangements left looking for a home! 👩‍🌾🧡

Created using a real pumpkin and filled with a gorgeous mix of the last of our Home Farm seasonal flowers — dahlias, cosmos, snapdragons, verbena, nasturtiums, grasses, seed heads and foliage.

Around 40cm high, it makes a lovely autumn table centrepiece, a seasonal gift, or simply a gorgeous splash of colour for your home. 🍂

🎃 £15 collection from Home Farm
🚗 £19 local delivery

Once this one’s gone, it’s gone! Our fresh flower season is drawing to a close, so this really is one of the last little bursts of the 2026 flower field. 🥰🌸

We’re delighted to be joining the Helensburgh & Lomond Artisans Association for our very first craft fair with them this Saturday 12th September at Victoria Halls, Helensburgh, 10am–3pm

Alongside growing and selling our seasonal Scottish flowers, one of the things we absolutely love is finding ways to give our flowers a second life 🌿

So we’ll be bringing along lots from our Seed-to-Art side of Home Farm Flowers & Crafts – flowers we’ve grown from seed, picked, pressed or dried here at Home Farm and then turned into botanical pictures, cards, keepsakes and gifts. 🌼🖼️

There may well be some fresh seasonal flower loveliness coming with us too… depending on what the field decides to give us this week! 😂💐

It’s lovely to be joining so many other local artists, makers and crafters, and we’d love to see some familiar faces there. ❤️

What an absolutely lovely couple of days we’ve had here at Home Farm ❤️🌸🌀

This weekend we opened up the flower field and our home to Morven for her beautiful Sound Bath sessions — and it turned into something really rather special.

The weather was kind to us, the flowers were at their glorious late-summer best, the bees were buzzing, and there was such a lovely calm feeling around the place. 🌿🐝💐 Although Daisy clearly felt things were getting a little too serene and decided to bring us a pressie… a mouse 🐭🙈😂 Just to keep us grounded in real Home Farm life!

It was wonderful to see everyone arrive — our lovely ladies and gentleman! — settle into the surroundings, enjoy the sound bath, wander through the flowers, have a cuppa, chat, laugh and simply take a little time out from everything else.

For us, it was also a lovely reminder that Home Farm can be about so much more than growing and arranging flowers. It can be a place to gather, create, connect, share ideas and enjoy a little bit of calm amongst the craziness of everyday life. ❤️

Our friendship with Morven actually began over a year ago when we created the flowers for her Handfasting, and we love that it has grown from flowers into friendship, creativity, collaboration and lots of new ideas. Sometimes people really do just cross your path at the right time. 🌸

We are huge believers in supporting other small businesses and creatives, sharing knowledge and encouraging one another. There is room for us all to grow and flourish, and this weekend felt like such a lovely example of that.

It was also wonderful seeing people leave with not only the experience of the Sound Bath, but flowers, cards, gifts and some of Morven’s beautiful handmade silver pieces too. 🫶

And we cannot forget Morven’s fabulous Roadie, Moira 😜❤️ Thank you for all your help over the weekend — and for the absolutely gorgeous hydrangeas you brought us. They are currently being very carefully dried and pressed, so watch this space… we have a feeling they may appear in some future Home Farm creations! 🙈🌸

Thank you so much to everyone who came along and embraced something a little different, and thank you Morven for bringing your energy, ideas and beautiful work to our little corner of Scotland.

We genuinely loved every minute of it.

Here’s to more flowers, creativity, connection, community and perhaps a few more collaborations along the way… 🤩🙈🌸🌀

August is showing off… 🌸🐝

We may have been a little quiet on here, but the flower field certainly hasn’t. 💗

At this time of year it feels as though something new catches our eye every time we walk through the gate.

Cosmos dancing everywhere, sweet peas still giving us their beautiful scent, zinnias in every shade imaginable, clouds of verbena weaving through the beds, dill towering above everything… and then the dahlias arrive and decide they’d quite like all the attention. 😍

And we’re not the only ones enjoying it.

The bees, butterflies and countless tiny visitors are busy from morning until evening — sometimes you just have to stop what you’re doing and watch. 🐝

There’s something very special about a Scottish flower field in late summer. It’s a little wild, slightly unruly, bursting with colour and absolutely full of life.

And while we’re picking and creating with what’s flowering now, our minds are already wandering towards autumn, drying and preserving this season’s blooms… and, believe it or not, sowing and planning for next year. 🌱

For now though, we’re soaking up every bit of August.

Which would you choose from the flower field — cosmos, sweet peas, zinnias or dahlias? 🌸
