One of the most common questions we ask people is, "What are your temperatures, and what thermostat are you using?"

This simple piece of equipment can be the difference between success and failure with reptile, invertebrate and amphibian keeping

Many reptiles, amphibians and inverts live in a preferred range of temperatures meaning temperature control is essential! Combining the right kind of heater in the right position, controlled by the right thermostat allows your animals to safely choose their temperature and infra red exposure.
We wont sell a setup or animal without knowing a thermostat is being used correctly to control the heat source(s).

Not everyone holds this firm view (amazing in 2026), so if you have an animal and have never owned or even heard of thermostats please get in touch, im always happy to explain why and how these products work and find the right one to fit your setup.

Weeds, flowers, grasses and Agrobs for the Shelled Squad this morning.

This is feeding Hermann's, Horsfield's, Marginated, Pancake, Leopard, Cherry Head and Aldabran - each tailored slightly to be higher in grass, Agrobs, flowers etc and the Cherry Heads will have a little fruit added to theirs.

Growing your own food and using the odd supplement and additive gives you total control over each tortoise's diet rather than constantly trying to balance poor quality shop bought options.
