🐾 In this cold damp weather, if you are having doubts that just resting your stiff dog is enough support, together, as a team, we can help make some alternative suggestions 🐾

Megan from Ivy Veterinary Physiotherapy had her first clinic sessions last week to met some lovely clients and chat through some of their challenges with their dogs and offer some helpful advice where appropriate.

If you’d like to benefit from Megan’s support, whether as an alternative therapy or alongside your dog’s existing treatment, we’d love to work with you to create the best possible approach for your dog. 💛🐶

Come along to our next Meet the Physio Day at the Clinic to have a friendly chat. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the services available and find out how we can support your pet’s individual needs as a multidisciplinary team “
💛🐾💦⭐️

Megan’s next full clinic day will be Saturday 31st October, and she already has a few appointments booked, so if you’d like to see her, we recommend getting in touch soon to secure your slot.

🐾 Why I actually became a Canine Hydrotherapist…

Yes, Covid played a part in changing the direction of my career — but it wasn’t the whole story.

Caring for animals has always been a huge part of who I am. From working in agriculture to becoming a Farm Manager, I’ve always loved the hands-on, practical side of animal care.

But deep down, I wanted to do more. I wanted to help animals not just live well, but feel better, move better and enjoy life again. 💙

My grandmother, NHS physiotherapist and an early advocate of hydrotherapy, also inspired me to explore a path I might never have otherwise considered.

So in 2021, I took the leap, retrained in Canine Therapy and specialised in hydrotherapy.
And today, I get to help dogs through some of their most difficult moments — and watch them find their confidence, comfort and joy again. 🐶💦

Looking back, Covid may have changed my path… but my love for animals is what led me here. ✨🦃 🐑 🐂🦮💛

🐾 Is your dog slowing down? It might not just be “old age”…

Struggling to get up? Stiff after resting? Reluctant to jump in the car or go for walks?

These can all be signs of canine arthritis. 💛
The good news? Arthritis can often be managed, and hydrotherapy can be a fantastic part of that management plan.

🌊 Low-impact exercise💪 Helps maintain muscle strength🦴 Supports joint mobility🐕 Helps keep dogs active & comfortable

Every dog is different, so at Hydro Paws, we tailor each session to their individual needs and work alongside your vet where appropriate.

Don’t let stiffness become the new normal. If you've noticed a change in how your dog moves, get in touch to see how we can help. 🐾
