AND THAT’S A WRAP… APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED!

Well… that escalated quickly! 😂

We put out the advert for our Part-Time Maternity Cover Animal Carer role Last Tuesday, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by the response.

OVER 100 OF YOU have shown an interest!

A huge thank you to every single person who took the time to apply, tell us about yourselves and consider becoming part of our team. We’re genuinely so grateful for the time and effort you’ve all put in.

Applications are now officially CLOSED, and poor Sophie has the rather enormous task of working her way through them all! 😂

Please bear with us while she reads through everything. We’ll be getting back to as many of you as we possibly can.

Unfortunately, with over 100 applications, it simply won’t be possible to respond personally to every unsuccessful applicant. If you don’t hear from us, we’re genuinely sorry — please know it’s absolutely nothing personal. We’ve just been completely overwhelmed by the number of people who have got in touch.

Thank you again to EVERYONE who applied. We really didn’t expect this level of interest, and we feel very lucky that so many of you would like to join our little dog-loving team.

Now… someone better make sure Sophie has plenty of coffee. She’s going to need it! ☕️🐾

WE'RE HIRING!

Part-Time Animal Carer – Maternity Cover

Cornwall Canine Care – St Erth

Do you absolutely love dogs?
Are you reliable, caring and looking for an active job where no two days are quite the same?

Starting Date is February 2027, Specific dates to be confirmed.

Cornwall Canine Care is looking for a Part-Time Animal Carer to join our friendly team at our St Erth site, covering maternity leave.

What we can offer:

• 1 guaranteed 10-hour shift every week
• Opportunity for additional hours when available
• Work available Monday to Saturday
• Pay: National Minimum Wage
• A fun, active working environment surrounded by dogs!

IMPORTANT – THIS IS AN OUTDOOR ROLE!

Our facility is approximately 90% outdoors, so you must be happy working outside in all weather conditions.

Rain, wind, sunshine, cold, mud… we're out there! ☔️🌧️❄☀️🐾

This is a very active role, so it's definitely not a position for someone who wants to spend their working day indoors!

The role involves:

• Caring for and supervising our day-care dogs
• Making sure all dogs are safe, happy and well cared for
• Providing exercise, play and enrichment
• Feeding and attending to the dogs' individual needs
• Cleaning and maintaining the day-care environment
• Working outdoors with dogs throughout the day
• Working as part of a small, friendly team
• Helping to maintain our high standards of dog care and welfare

We're looking for someone who:

• Has a genuine love and passion for dogs
• Is reliable, hardworking and responsible
• Is confident around dogs of different sizes and personalities
• Is genuinely happy working outdoors in ALL weather conditions
• Doesn't mind getting muddy, wet and messy!
• Is physically active and enjoys a hands-on role
• Can work well as part of a team
• Is calm, patient and attentive
• Has previous relevant experience.

📩 Interested?

Please send your CV and Cover Letter, including any previous relevant experience, to Sophie at [email protected]

**PLEASE DO NOT MESSAGE VIA FACEBOOK.**

If you're passionate about dogs, don't mind the Cornish weather and love an active outdoor job, we'd love to hear from you!
