Cleo’s Journey 🐾💙

Zoom sessions work!

“Hi, just a quick update… we’re doing really well with Cleo. The advice about throwing treats onto the floor or away when she sits or lies down has worked brilliantly.

We’ve even had lovely feedback from our neighbours, who said Cleo is now only barking for around five minutes and then settling. She hasn’t chewed anything either, which is fantastic for Cleo, as she was previously struggling so much when left alone.

The advice and support we’ve received has really worked, so I have every faith in the process. We’ve found that keeping her to one room rather than giving her access to two has helped her settle much better, so we’re going to stick with that.

And now… we’ve cracked it! 🎉

Cleo is no longer chewing, no longer barking and is settling beautifully when we leave her. We’re now three weeks in and honestly, we haven’t seen her this happy in such a long time. ❤️

We’re due to go back to the vet as I have to go into hospital, but I wanted you to see this photo of how happy Cleo is and to say a huge thank you.

Your Zoom session was fantastic. The step-by-step approach, your honesty and, most importantly, how much you genuinely care have helped Cleo so much. We will be forever grateful.

BOARDING VS PET SITTING 🐾

Both options have their own benefits, but there are important differences when it comes to legal requirements.

🏡 PET SITTING — IN YOUR OWN HOME

There are currently no specific licensing requirements for someone providing pet sitting in your own home.

However, when choosing a pet sitter, it’s worth looking for someone who is:

📜 Insured for pet sitting
🧠 Knowledgeable about canine behaviour
🚑 Trained in canine first aid

🏠 DAY CARE / BOARDING — AT THEIR HOME

If your dog is staying at someone else’s home for day care or boarding, the rules are different.

In England, the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations 2018 introduced the current licensing framework. In general, businesses carrying out licensed dog day care or home boarding activities must hold the appropriate licence.

🐶 Booking your dog in for boarding?
Their licence number should be available on their website and displayed at the premises.

And don’t be afraid to ask to see it — being appropriately licensed is a legal requirement where the activity falls within the licensing regulations.

Your dog’s safety matters, so always do your homework before booking. ❤️🐾

Silly Spaniel Snuggles

Shadow was having far too much fun during his Real World Training session! 🐾🥰

His owner managed to capture some adorable roly-poly moments, plenty of kisses, and one very cheeky little face…

Here, Issa a 4 month old Doberman is learning how to interact safely and positively with my 2 year old toddler Matty.
