All set for St Brideminton 2026! 🤞🤞
Massive ‘Thankyou’ to everyone who’s helped to get our little event all ready.
It’s been fun! I can’t remember it being quite this much work, last time though 😂
So many involved for this one and it’s all come together in such a short space of time, many thanks to such a skilful, dedicated team.
We’ve had the farm lane cleared, the pot holes filled, the old hedge & fence removed, and a very smart, very straight new fence erected! This deserves a whole new post of its own really- from a rough, farm lane to a new ‘drive’ with vehicle access and a separate horse walk alongside. The stallion rail looks even better that I’d imagined!
However, as all this was in progress and shaping up really nicely, we decided - 2 days ago - to change the site of the show 🥴 The grass had grown back so quickly in the nice flat, sheltered ‘event’ field; with the new fence, easy access & sea views…that we didn’t want the horses to spoil the next cut of silage 😂😉
So…. Back on the slopey paddocks it is!
More jobs- Strimming & topping, jumps to pin down … (but we sorted it!)
We’ll enjoy watching the riders navigate the banks tomorrow; balancing on the downhills, adjusting for the turns (hopefully) and pushing on for the incline!
Loaners have been busy practising their dressage & jumping and today all washing & plaiting.
It’s been a busy time all round!
Topping, strimming, fencing, course building, trophies and rosettes, t shirts & sponsorships.
Now it’s time to hand over to the judges tomorrow, pour the pimms and pray for better weather!
Good luck to all of our riders - we’ll be cheering you on all the way!
