Meet beautiful Lilo! 🐾💗
Lilo is a gorgeous Maine C**n who is almost two years old. She was brought to us after developing signs of dystocia, meaning a difficult or obstructed labour, during her first pregnancy.
Lilo was very unwell when she arrived and there were no sign of kittens being delivered.
We immediately started fluid therapy and took blood samples for further investigation. An ultrasound scan showed there was infection present. This made Lilo’s condition particularly serious and time-sensitive.
Lilo subsequently underwent surgery to treat the dystocia and remove the source of infection. ❤️🩹
Thankfully, when she returned the following day for her first post-operative check, she was doing wonderfully! She spent the entire appointment purring and making biscuits. 🥹🐾 She was bright in herself and happily eating and drinking again. Her surgical site looked fantastic, with no bruising, bleeding or discharge.
Since her first post-operative check, she has been back to see us twice, and we’re absolutely delighted with how well this beautiful girl is doing after such a difficult start. We’re thrilled to say that she has now made a complete recovery and has officially been signed off. ❤️
We are so proud of you Lilo! 💕 🐾
