A little update to my cleaning services 🧹🌿
I am no longer offering a service specifically called a “Deep Clean”.
Instead, I’ll be replacing this with what I’m calling Project Cleans.
So, what’s the difference?
The end result can be very similar — the main change is in language and expectation.
I pride myself on offering a friendly, approachable and non-judgemental service, and I welcome a really wide range of clients. But everyone has a different idea of what a “deep clean” actually means.
Over the past year I’ve helped with all sorts of projects under the name of deep cleaning — including depression and hoarding cleans, pet-soiling, neglected areas, rearranging furniture and cupboards, and homes that simply need a really good reset.
I genuinely enjoy this side of my work. I love helping someone take back control of a space that has become overwhelming, whether that’s happened because of mental health, illness, life circumstances, pets, mobility issues or simply because things have got away from them.
But there’s a problem with calling all of these jobs a “deep clean”.
Six hours of cleaning in one home might achieve an almost show-home finish. In another, six hours might simply take the edge off and make the space feel manageable again.
Neither is a failure — they’re just different projects, with different starting points.
That’s why I’m moving to Project Cleans.
Rather than promising a particular level of cleanliness based on the words “deep clean”, we can look at your home, your priorities and what you realistically want to achieve, then plan the time and work around that.
My aim is to make sure the service you book reflects the work involved and gives you the best possible result for the time and money you’re investing.
And most importantly, if your home needs a bit more help than a standard clean, I want to foster an environment of no shame or embarrassment. We all need help sometimes.
That’s exactly the sort of work I want to help with. 🌻
. .
This is just one of many updates I’ve been working on behind the scenes. I’ve spent a lot of this summer putting time into improving my processes, refining how I work and making some changes that I hope will make things better for both my clients and me. 🌻
I've also been working on new booking forms, a new website, additional training, and more. So watch this space.
