🐶❤️ National Rescue Dog Day ❤️🐶
Today we are helping raise awareness for National Rescue Dog Day — a chance to celebrate rescue dogs and the incredible people who give them a second chance.
Rescue dogs can make wonderful companions, and every dog deserves the opportunity to feel safe, understood and loved. If you’re thinking about welcoming a rescue dog into your home, adopting from a rescue organisation can be a truly rewarding experience.
Of course, some rescue dogs may need a little extra support as they adjust to a new environment, learn new routines, or work through past experiences. That’s where our APDT members can help.
Using kind, fair and effective training techniques, APDT trainers support dogs and their owners in building confidence, trust and strong lifelong bonds together. 💙
Whether you’ve recently adopted, are considering adoption, or simply want to celebrate rescue dogs with us this week — we’d love for you to join the conversation.
Image description: A blue-toned graphic showing the journey of a rescue dog through four stages: “Rescue,” “Adjust,” “Learn,” and “Thrive.” Circular photos connected by a flowing dotted pathway show a nervous puppy being comforted, a rescue dog settling into a home, a dog receiving positive reinforcement training with treats, and finally a person walking happily with their dog along a beach. The graphic includes the message: “Positive training helps rescue dogs thrive,” alongside the APDT UK logo.
