The weather is going to cool down slightly over the next week but please remember it will still be hot!

Please remember to give your pets plenty of shade and cool water.

The pavements may cause burns to your pets feet. A good rule is if it hurts to keep your hand on the pavement for 5 seconds it is too hot to walk.

Animals with shorter muzzles, long fur or carrying extra weight are more likely to struggle with the heat. As are our younger and older patients.

ATTENTION Rabbit Owners! 🐰

NEW VACCINE INFORMATION:

There has been a rise in suspected RHD2 Highly Virulent (HV) strain infections coming over from Europe. We now have a vaccine to protect your bunnies against this. This has to be given separately to the normal Myxomatosis and RHD Plus vaccine which we routinely give. There needs to be at least a 2 weeks gap between vaccines.

*URGENT UPDATE IF YOU TRAVEL IN AND OUT OF THE UK*

As of tomorrow the government have said If you are a UK resident but bring your pet in and out of the uk you will not be allowed to use you pet passport anymore. You will have to get an Animal health certificate(AHC) each time you travel!

This will come into effect as of tomorrow!

Please if you are travelling this summer then make sure you get an AHC.
