HAF Day 7!
Wow, what a fun day we had!
The children got to meet loads of amazing animals, including Georgie the sheep, Honey the bumblebee millipede, and even a false water cobra*! They also enjoyed plenty of fun games in the sunshine.
A huge well done to all the children for being so brave, curious and gentle when meeting our animal guests! ๐
*Safety note: False water cobras are mildly venomous, so all interactions were carefully supervised by our experienced and qualified staff. Although Biscuit is very friendly, the children were shown how to handle her safely and were directed to hold her towards the tail, away from her head - which a member of staff held at all times. False water cobras are rear-fanged, meaning their venomous teeth are positioned towards the back of the mouth, and unlike true cobras, they cannot spit venom. All handling was carried out under close staff supervision to ensure everyone stayed safe.
