A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came down to see us this weekend! ❤️ It was brilliant catching up with so many of you, meeting loads of new faces and seeing the shop so busy again!

Honestly… every week just seems to get better and better! 🙌

But the weekend is over, which can only mean one thing…

🚗💨 ETHAN’S OFF TO TMC TOMORROW!

And this week, we’re going hunting. 👀

With OctoberFest getting VERY close, we’re already thinking ahead. We want some seriously special livestock in the shop, fully settled, feeding and looking its absolute best ready for the big weekend! 🔥

So tomorrow we’re keeping our eyes peeled for the rare, unusual, weird, wonderful and downright ridiculous. 🤯🐠

If TMC have some gems hiding away… we’re finding them. 😂

THIS IS GOING TO BE A DISASTER.

But amongst all the stupidity, there’s a reason this particular guest means so much to us. ❤️

Before Phoenix Aquatics was even a thing, Ethan worked at iReef.

Alex played a massive part in getting Ethan to where he is today.

The knowledge.

The advice.

The guidance.

The confidence.

The experience.

And probably most importantly…

TEACHING HIM THAT APPARENTLY PROFIT MARGINS ARE OPTIONAL. 😂

In all seriousness, Alex has been an incredible friend and supporter of Ethan and Phoenix.

Without Alex and everything Ethan learned during his time at iReef, there’s a very real chance the marine side of Phoenix wouldn’t exist today.

So having him come across and be part of our first OctoberFest genuinely means the world to us. ❤️

This morning while we were out, we bumped into our friends over at IReef Rochdale… and naturally, Ethan and Ste came up with a slightly crazy idea. 😂

You all know we LOVE our weekly Mystery Fish — one fish we don’t advertise, don’t reveal online, and the only way you get to see it is by coming into the shop! 👀

Usually it’s something weird, wacky, unusual or just downright rare…

Well, this week we’ve changed the rules! 😏

Ethan and Ste decided they would buy a mystery fish for EACH OTHER’S shop! 😂🐟

So Ethan picked something for iReef…
And Ste picked something for Phoenix Aquatics…

Neither of them was allowed to choose their own! 👀
