Ouch poor Loki 🦷

At Loki's routine booster Marrianne noticed that he had a broken infected tooth and would require dental treatment. In Femke's safe expert hands he had pre-GA bloods, placed on IV fluids and under GA underwent dental charting, x-rays and had 6 teeth extracted.

Hi, I'm the new partner and co-owner of Medivet Harrogate Oak Beck Way and Medivet Harrogate Knaresborough Rd.

I am thrilled to return to where it all began and feel honoured to be working alongside such a wonderful, dedicated, passionate, skilled team. I can not wait to meet our amazing patients and feel privileged to be able to provide exceptional care for your furry family members!

After qualifying from Edinburgh University in 2007, I moved to North Yorkshire to work in a mixed practice, where I was fortunate early on in my career to become a partner.
In 2017 I started my own locum business, working in a variety of practices from first opinion, emergency out of hours and a multi-site 24-hour referral hospital. Eventually deciding to take a Clinical Director role by the coast.

I have a particular interest in small animal preventative and emergency medicine.

When not at work you can catch me at CrossFit, walking in the North Yorkshire Dales or Moors with my family and blowing those cobwebs away dancing Cuban salsa.

I graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2024 and moved from a practice in Keighley to Medivet in June 2025. I have a keen interest in small animal medicine, especially diagnostic imaging, and recently started a Postgraduate Certificate in Cardiology. I am also an advocate for mental health within the profession and completed a Master of Research in veterinary mental health while studying for my vet degree. When I'm not at work, I am a keen runner and a music and theatre lover and also spend lots of time with my two Lurchers Moose and Pippin, and my cat Willow.

I joined the practice in October 2023. I grew up in Spain and graduated from the University of Murcia, before moving back to the UK. I am passionate about all areas of small animal veterinary medicine, with a particular interest in developing my knowledge and skills in internal medicine and ultrasonography. In my free time I enjoy exploring the countryside with my dog Oddie. I particularly enjoy getting to form a relationship with my patients and clients, as well as seeing and treating them through all life stages.
