Volunteer Vacancy - Clinic Receptionist

Do you love animals and enjoy helping people? Our Harlow RSPCA clinic is looking for friendly, reliable and welcoming volunteer receptionists to join our team. The clinic is located at The Stow.
As a volunteer receptionist, you’ll help provide a warm and professional welcome to visitors, support the clinic team and assist with the day-to-day running of reception. This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity, suitable for individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and engaging with the local community.
This role can fit around your availability. Our reception is currently supported by a small team and we are looking to welcome one or two additional volunteers who can complement the existing team and help us maintain a consistent, welcoming reception service.
If you are approachable, organised and confident with people, computers and telephone communication, we would love to hear from you!
The current clinic opening hours are listed below.
Monday: 10:00am – 3:30pm
Tuesday: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Wednesday: 10:00am – 3:30pm
Thursday: 10:00am – 3:30pm

We’re at the Harlow Council Harlow Town Show today talking all things animal welfare! Come and find out more about volunteering with us, trusteeship and how we are supporting local pet owners. We have a teddy tombola as well as some craft activities for children. Pop by and say hello if you can!

We're reaching out to our wonderful local community for a little help. 💙

Our Veterinary Clinic at The Stow in Harlow urgently needs to replace its toilet cistern system, and we're hoping there may be a local plumber who would be willing to help us either free of charge or at a reduced rate.

As an independent charitable veterinary practice, we're always doing our best to keep costs down while continuing to provide the highest level of care for our patients. Any support from a local trades person would make a real difference and help us put more resources where they're needed most – caring for the animals who come through our doors.

If you're a plumber, or you know someone who may be able to help, we'd be incredibly grateful if you could get in touch or tag them in the comments.

By contributing your ideas, time and enthusiasm, you will help organise and deliver fundraising events & activities that enable the branch to continue its essential animal welfare work.
This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity, suitable for individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and engaging with the local community. We are based in Harlow/Bishops Stortford & we are looking for volunteers within our local branch area (Harlow, Bishops Stortford, Broxbourne, Hoddesdon, Sawbridgeworth, Roydon, North Weald, Sheering and the surrounding areas)
