Dogs Take The Lead

Last walk on a Friday afternoon. Both of these mature ladies have been with me for over 10 years and they have been best friends since the day they meet.
So when it’s possible I now arrange for them to have their own walk, at their pace doing what they want to do. I hope I have many more years with them both doing just this.

It’s not every day you see a badger out during the day and unfortunately this story doesn’t end well. I’ve cut the video short because it’s quite distressing to see, but this poor baby had been hit by a car which resulted in a head injury. I contacted the same wildlife team who helped with the bird I released a few weeks ago and they made the necessary arrangements for this baby to be taken to the vet / badger sanctuary. Unfortunately she didn’t make it through the night. May she live free and safe over the rainbow bridge 🌈

I have one of the best jobs around and because of that I get to see so much wildlife and today was no exception.
I got the opportunity to help this beautiful young buzzard who had been clipped by a car and left at the side of the road.
After dodging traffic to pick him up, then finding the lovely people at helpwildlife.co.uk then taking him to the Vet where it was agreed I could release him in a field close to where I found him it couldn’t get any better.
