Does anyone recognise this male entire cat?

He was found along Parringdon road and we believe he may have been involved in a road traffic accident as he has multiple pelvis fractures.

Unfortunately he is not microchipped.

He is currently safe at the practice receiving necessary treatment, if you have any information please contact the surgery.

***🩵So glad to say Eddie has returned home!!🩵 ***

Please keep an eye out for Eddie who has gone missing from Sheering Lower Road in Sawbridgeworth. It’s very unusual for him to stay away from home for so long. Please check your sheds and garages in case he has become trapped inside.

A couple of weeks ago we had a very poorly litter of kittens handed in.
All of the kittens had severe cat flu and required daily nebulising, eye ointment, antibiotics, flea treatment and continuous feeding day and night. 5 of them took to treatment very well but little Tink here was unfortunately fading.

Unsure on what more we could do to help her, one of our nurses decided to take Tink home and foster her one on one.

Little Tink is a fighter, our staff are truly amazing and Milo here is without a doubt the best big brother loving her back to health! Such a beautiful bond already between a lovely boy and his kitten we had to share!

We will be sure to keep you updated on Tink’s journey back to health ❤️

Does anyone recognise this cat? 🐈‍⬛

She was found on Southern Way. She’s microchipped but the telephone number doesn’t work and we’ve had no reply to our emails sent to the email address on the chip.

She has a slit in her right ear.

If you think she could belong to you, please call the surgery on 01279 422066.

Meet Baloo ❤️

Baloo came to us as a severe emergency where time was of the essence.
He presented unable to walk, crying out in pain and was in a delirious state.

Staff acted fast and performed diagnostic tests straight away to figure out what was happening to this lovely boy.
Tests showed that he was suffering from hyperkalemia which is too much potassium in the blood.

The cause of this is unknown, in some cases it can be food related, some can be poisoning of some sort or even urinary issues.

Because of this, heart attacks can occur which is what we believe was happening to Baloo on arrival. Heart attacks occur because of the high potassium levels which cause electrical imbalances which then affects the rhythm of heart.

Because of the speed Baloo’s owner acted upon in getting him in, medication and fluid therapy was administered fast enabling us to correct his blood levels and after a nights stay with close observation, blood monitoring and treatment he went home the next day 🙌

Baloo had a recheck recently and has officially been signed off as fit and well!

How wonderful are these beautiful pens we have been gifted from his owners.

Thank you for allowing us to share Baloo’s story. We wish him all the good health ongoing!
