Our aviaries are getting an upgrade!

If you’re visiting us over the winter, you may notice a few changes taking place!

We’re excited to be developing and upgrading our aviaries, with Pixie and Jager, our owls, first in line for a new and improved home.

As you can see, their aviary is doubling in size, giving them more space to explore, more natural light, and the freedom to choose whether they’d like to bask in the sunshine or bathe in rain.

The project may take some time as it is being done in house, so please do excuse some of the messy areas whilst the upgrade takes place.

We're brewing up a cauldron full of Halloween fun, and you are all invited!

Join us for a week of spooky creativity, curious animal encounters and fang-tastic activities with plenty of surprises along the way. To top it all off, get ready for a frightfully fun Halloween party.

PLEASE READ POSTERS FOR MORE DETAILS
The posters highlight dates, times, ages and fees for all activities. Some are limited spaces and must be booked in advance!

Introducing Hamish, the Royal Golden Guernsey Billy.

We’re delighted to welcome this handsome chap, on loan from Jimmy’s Farm & Wildlife Park, for a romantic holiday with our female Golden Guernsey goats!

Golden Guernsey goats are a rare breed, and their numbers remain low. We’re passionate about helping to increase the breed’s numbers and playing our part in their conservation.

When he first arrived, the girls were a little intimidated by those impressive horns! It didn’t take long, though, for them to decide he was rather attractive…

There is just one warning for visitors — he stinks! Male goats have a very distinctive aroma and some rather unusual ways of wooing the ladies, including weeing on themselves!

It might not sound romantic to us, but it certainly seems to be working for him! ❤️🐐

Response to Fire in the Town Park

We just wanted to reassure everyone who has been concerned following the fire in the town park.

Thankfully, the fire has now been contained and most importantly, it did not spread to Pets' Corner itself. The fire was a good distance away from us and all our animals are safe and well with no clue of the dramas out in the park.

An old paddock has unfortunately sustained some fire damage, but luckily the fire did not reach the areas where our animals are kept.

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who checked in and showed concern for our animals.
