Another Friday, another little update from Friendly Fish. I’ve made it to week two, so we can officially call this a habit. 😂
White Cloud Mountain Minnows have caught my eye this week, both the regular and golden varieties. With all the colourful Guppies and Mollies about, it’s easy to overlook them, but I’ve got a real soft spot for these little fish. If you’re after a hardy fish for a suitable temperate aquarium, they’re well worth considering.
On the plant side, the Micranthemum ‘Monte Carlo’ is looking exceptional. One to have a look at if you’re planning a carpet of greenery or just fancy spending part of your weekend rearranging the aquarium and telling everyone you’re “nearly finished”.
We’ve had more Guppies out of quarantine this week too, so there’s been plenty of colour to distract us. Sunsets, Moscow Greens, Neon Blues and Reds… choosing them from a supplier’s list is one thing, but seeing them swimming about in front of you is the enjoyable bit.
The Bumble Bee and Red Calico Platies are among the new arrivals as well, along with some Mollies, Rams and female Fighters. They’re out of quarantine and ready for sale, so there’s plenty to have a look at this weekend.
For this weekend, though, my vote still goes to the White Clouds. All those fancy arrivals and I’m talking about minnows. Sometimes the old favourites take a bit of beating. 😂
