Meet Gordon, Wilson & Delilah! 🐾

I’ve had the pleasure of seeing these three cuties once a day for two weeks to help with their medication. 💊

Despite the medication being very bitter tasting (and therefore not exactly their favourite part of the day), they were absolute superstars. With some great teamwork between myself and their owner, we were able to get everything administered quickly, with as little stress as possible, and plenty of little breaks for treats along the way. ❤️

It’s been a pleasure getting to know them although I’m sure they’re all very pleased to see the back of their daily medicine! 🐾

A little personal post today, because it’s a very special day in our house…

Meet Zola, our best girl and today she turns (roughly) 12 years old, and it’s 11 years since we rescued her. So we’re celebrating her birthday/adoptiversary!

She came to us with a little bit of baggage, and she’s certainly not without her quirks (stubborn doesn’t quite cover it), but despite all of that, I genuinely wouldn’t change her for the world.

I’ve never met a dog quite like her - incredibly bright, completely in-tune with me and my husband, endlessly loving, and with a personality that is very much her own!

She really is the love of my life. Happy 12th birthday to my Zola. I’d choose you every single time. 🐾❤️

Blu! 🐾

I recently met this gorgeous girl for a nail clip and a**l gland expression (two services for £30)!

With the crazy hot summer we’ve had, Blu quite rightly hasn’t been doing many pavement walks. Hot pavements can cause nasty burns to those little paw pads! 🥵🐾

The downside is that pavement walks usually help naturally file nails down, so Blu’s had a little extra growth. She also suffers with some a**l gland irritation, so keeping her comfortable is important.

I’ll be seeing Blu again over the next month or so to help keep those nails short and her bottom comfortable! Looking forward to seeing her again! 💕

Black Cat Appreciation Day! 🖤

A little appreciation post for some of the gorgeous black cats I’ve had the pleasure of looking after recently!

Black cats are often overlooked in rescue centres, but honestly… just look at these four! 🥹🖤 They’re every bit as beautiful, loving and full of personality as any other cat.

Forrest had a few tight matts around his rump so he had a little tidy up to help him feel much more comfortable, especially with the warm weather we’ve been having. ☀️

Armed with a Lick-e-Lix, he barely noticed me carefully shaving away the troublesome matts and seemed pretty pleased with himself afterwards!

I think this photo sums him up perfectly… completely relaxed, gazing into the distance with those magnificent whiskers. ❤️

As always, my aim isn’t to give your pet a fancy haircut (still not offering feline fades! 😂), it’s simply to keep them comfortable and happy.

Meet the handsome Nobu! 🐈‍⬛ ✨

I recently visited this fine gentleman for a little de-matting session. As a long-haired cat, he and his family do a fantastic job of keeping him well groomed, but there are always a few tricky areas that can become matted over time. For cats, it’s usually around the trousers, bottom, rump, under the belly and behind the ears.

I’m not a groomer, so don’t come to me expecting a graduated mane or a fancy fade! 😄 My focus is on your pet’s comfort and welfare. Whether that means gently teasing out small matts or carefully clipping them away, the aim is simply to help them feel happier and more comfortable. ❤️

A little word of caution… please be very careful if you’re tempted to cut matts out yourself. Both cat and dog skin is incredibly thin, and I’ve sadly seen too many pets needing stitches after well-meaning attempts at home.

If your animal has a few pesky matts, please don’t struggle on or feel embarrassed to ask for help. I’m always happy to see if it’s something I can safely assist with. 🐾

Cuteness Overload! 🐾

Meet Scamp, a gorgeous 12-week-old puppy who I visited recently for his very first nail clip. 💙

Puppy nails may be tiny, but they can be incredibly sharp! His family asked if I could help save their arms from all those little scratches. 🐾😂

Scamp was an absolute delight and such a good boy for his nail clip. He handled it brilliantly and has clearly landed on all four paws with such a lovely family. ❤️

Double the Goldens = Double the Cuteness! 🐕 🐕

I recently visited the lovely Gus for an a**l gland expression, with his “big brother” keeping a very close eye on proceedings! 💛

Did you know that if your dog is scooting, licking around their back end more than usual, or you’ve noticed a strong fishy smell, it could be a sign that their a**l glands aren’t emptying naturally and may need a helping hand.

Not every dog needs their a**l glands expressed, but for those that do, it can make a big difference to their comfort.

Both boys were an absolute pleasure to meet, and it was lovely spending time with them and their wonderful owner. ❤️

My First Cat Appointment! 🐈

Meet the lovely Biscuit ❤️

Biscuit enjoys exploring the great outdoors, and on this occasion came home with an unwelcome passenger - a very large tick attached to her face!

Thankfully, I was able to remove it safely and completely using a tick hook and twist technique. When removing ticks, it’s important to remove the entire tick, as leaving parts behind can sometimes lead to irritation or infection. It’s also best to avoid simply pulling ticks out with tweezers, as this can increase the risk of leaving mouthparts behind.

It was a pleasure to meet Biscuit and her lovely owner. One of the best parts of starting this business has been meeting such wonderful pets and people. 🥰

🐱 Although tick removals aren’t currently listed on my service menu, it’s something I’m happy to help with. If you’re ever unsure whether I offer a particular service, just send me a message and ask!
